JdB 151 Posted November 7, 2005 The textures are a little too shiny at various points imo
tankieboy 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Looks plastic to me.
akd 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Very nice, but as noted, too shiny for the field.
CanadianTerror 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Has anyone mentioned it's too shiny yet?
CameronMcDonald 146 Posted November 7, 2005 It'll be hard trying to best the ORCs T72, imho. But it looks better (insofar). Those pics have been out for ages, though. Come on, Spetznatz mod!
Thunderbird 0 Posted November 7, 2005 What a pretty baby! keep up the nice work, looking forward to it! Best Regards TB84
Heatseeker 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Amazing work, definetly the best looking T72 out there, maybe not just in OPFR but everywhere really .
Desert-Rat 0 Posted November 7, 2005 looks really nice but a bit too dark
Shadow NX 1 Posted November 7, 2005 Notice the tiny logo next to SFM up there Anyway, tested the thing in a early alpha stage and was pretty amazed didnt notice parts that looked too shiny to me when playing. Only thing that isnt looking too god id say are the wheels, they need some darkening at least in the middle part
Przezdzieblo 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Almost there. The configuration of gunner sight do not look very well. Both day and night sight are now almost in line - and should not. Here blueprints of T-72 previous version. http://img201.exs.cx/img201/1337/172m1front6vn.jpg http://img201.exs.cx/img201/4883/172m19np.jpg Although sight type were changed in T-72A (and M/M1), configuration is the same. Day sight shield should be narrower than at your screens, and little higher. http://tanxheaven.com/krzo/t72mkrzo/t-72mkrzo-101.JPG http://tanxheaven.com/krzo/t72mkrzo/t-72mkrzo-117.JPG It should be noted that on the most of T-72A there were additional 16 mm plate on front hull armour, visually reducing number of anti-ricochet "steps" in front of driver hatch from 3 to 2. Your T-72A front hull looks like those from older and "monkey" (T-72M) versions. http://ffox.neostrada.pl/t-72/t72-1.jpg - T-72M http://data.primeportal.net/tanks...._11.JPG - T-72M1 (with applique plate just like in T-72A)

Heatseeker 0 Posted November 7, 2005 I noticed both tags up there on the pics, sounds like a killer combination to me .
OFPCAT 0 Posted November 7, 2005 The best texture of T-72 I ever saw in OFP. The shiny metal effects is very nice, really awesome, I like it! Oh, my 85's Soviet pack really need such armor vehicles in battle.
DKM Jaguar 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Nice work! Wish I could do anything near that quality...
hellfish6 7 Posted November 7, 2005 I don't mind the shinyness - it's a good contrast to the rest of the model, which is kind of dark. I like!
CanadianTerror 0 Posted November 8, 2005 I think I just find the shinyness to be a bit "new" looking. I really liked the ORCS T72 that looked like it had a mud bath. That's just me though... EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I'll have fun blowing this one up too!
Wa_Va_Voom 0 Posted November 8, 2005 Will you only be making the t72 for the Russian army or will you do something simular to what you did for the t55 pack and make it for several countries I for one would like to see the Old Iraqi army t72 and maybe the t72s of other countries which use them extensivly
Shadow NX 1 Posted November 8, 2005 Only russian afaik. The T55 packs just had iraqis and such cause Sigma already had them made at that time. Manfred who textures this T72 wont be making any other country textures i think and i cant blame him he already works on a dozent things at once.

I could have sworn the T-55 pack had Iraqi, Chinese and North Vietnamese versions (maybe East Germany and NK also even). Was that a different pack? edit: oh wait, I suppose "and such" covers that.
