Well the fact is i like it better this way, now we can actually get into combat or get away and not worry that much that if someone shoots a rocket at the boat your history straight away.

Maybe it was the spot i was testing it in. It was a swamp on Mekong island lol

The engine sound is common problem, this is why boats are so quiet in ofp. Originally I had the sound seperate and sqs with the prop but it did not sound so good.

I will change the distance the sound carries, this may help a bit.

I increased the mass to stop the bouncing effect.

Hi there!

That Tangos look promising! I'm impressed with the detail and the ability to have more than one gun position. I see some possibilities of riverine warfare missions surface with them. And to be honest any addition to the riverine force for OFP is welcome. That Airboat is nice too, could come in handy in habour patrol scenarios or quick insertions. Anyone tried it in the RSSZ (Part of the ILO ILO island release?)

Col. Klinks NASTY PT was a handy craft and it was fun to intercept trawler off the coast with them.

Anyone knows of a somewhat more real PBR for Vietnam. The Bis one has the guntub of the Mark One. A additional rear cal .50 would also be great.

Not sure if an M60 and the M18 Grenade lauchner would be doable too? drifting off and dreaming.....

Pic of Monitor in the works this one with 40mm canon with 50 cal another model has the 105 Howie. Standard are 30cal, 81 mort, 20mm and Mk19. ATM

also CCB, Zippo and ASPB have been keel layed

May have a trial boat out soon to test the water but don't hold breath just yet.

Working on getting the boats as user friendly as possible and I am not happy with some textures and a couple of other items.  

I would not want to be 'keelhauled' for rushing out useless piece of crap.  wink_o.gif

Ok seriously, i doubt anybody will keelhaul any addonmaker, mate. This thing looks amazing and will breath new life into nam gameplay (you can land and restock your chopper on water now, can't you ?).

Also, there's ArmA around the corner, so it might be wise to give out an early beta now (for feedback) and then wait for ArmA release for the final version. smile_o.gif only my opinion though

Brief History

Most of the boats started life as landing craft, the same type used in WWII and Korea. Armor was added as well as flotation gear. The boats weighed well over 70 tons which was about 40 tons more than a standard LCM-6.  Firepower came from two 20mm cannons and one M-19 grenade launcher all of which were mounted in the aft section of the boat. There were two 50 cal and four 30 cal Machine guns in the forward section of the boat.

Just put CSJatch.pbo and CSJatcW.pbo in addons folder and thats it.

Find the Boat under "Armoured (CSJ BrownWaterNavy)"

Must have SEBnam MRF soldiers for this release

Only noticed one bug. Once I start my OFP I get the following error:

No entry 'config.bin/CfgAmmo/atc40mm.\CSJATCW\40mm.wav'

Also have Army ACV started but will complete later on.

All that is left to do on this model is the interior. I have pic of cockpit but nil elsewhere, would much appreciate it if someone could help with some pics or facts specially around cargo bay.

Yeah, Pac Vee's... i saw them in Eve of destruction for Battlefield Vietnam... i don't remember if there was an interior... but i think there wasn't any...

google is also very unproductive, only 1 very bad black'n' white photo...

Just gotta tidy up the inside a bit and add some cargo positions, other then that everything is 99% done.

As speedo reads - she does in the 60s on the dry and 70 plus in the wet.

AI not too keen on cutting the grass - they will look for a water route first, with these craft I would say that would be logical.

Love all ur work CSJ, awesome stuff. All ya needa do now is the Huey Cobra to finish off the 'nam collection tounge2.gif that monitor looks a beast to me, are ya gonna do one with zippo's n 50's on the front? that'd be the king of the delta.

Yes a Zippo is in the works I will post pics when ready.

Working on non script and AI friendly flammers for the Zippo which I am 90% there.

I assume there are a few good models already out there in OFP land, maybe one day but not on todo list atm.

Thats awesome then man, lookin forward to it, lookin forward to roastin a few VC aswell, just wonderin, what erm... model monitor are ya makin? are ya gonna make one with the 40mil main gun, or one with the 105 tank turret... or both?
