i like the AK and some other soviet helicopters and tanks, but I had to go with west fot the abrams and fixed-wing aircraft...i have a soft spot for the a10

I love the cobra and the apache but the MI-24 is a fav, the M16 in RL is the ultimate assault rifle but i have always loved AK's so i was kinda torn in the poll. What swung it was that glocks and berettas are just the coolest and there is no soviet block weapon that comes close. Except maybe the skorpian. The HKMP5 is my all time favourite ( I fired one on full auto in Vegas last summer!!) but the Bizon has a huge mag capacity!!

Other. Weird, but I like playing as both. Sometimes it's cool to be a Russian getting ambushed in Chechenya or solving hostage situations with a PKM, 'Nam is one of my favourites, WWII Americans are almost as funny as 'Nam ones, and modern US is cool too. FDF is nice too as I'm a finn, especially I like recreating the Winter War with them and some WWII addons.

I like the soviet stuff best.

Always swap that M16 for an Ak as early as possible.

I Think the games pretty balanced and it doesn't really make much odds.

I have a hard time choosing between the Hind and the Cobra since I like them both.  Not very intrested in the Hokum.

A10 wins vs the the Russian one.

M14 or Dragunov is Druganov just for the sight.

I like the soviet jeep better than the U.S. one, but the U.S truck better than the russian one.

Tanks play out quite similarly but the M1 Abrams has 1 too few crew so losses on realism.

I like Russian tanks the best, not just because they are better made and newer designs but also because I am a little tired of playing war games in the role of the Americans to say the least.

As a westerner, Russian weapon systems are more exotic, while still being standard domestic equipment, (not uber scifi weapons like Xm8 and HK g3 etc).

The Apache is such an overdone cliche that I don't want to fly it all.

Same for using M16's, M4's and Mp5's.

How many games have I done this in already?

I should like my own countries equipment far more than any Russian or American gear (although i'd probably still swap for an AK early on).

I have more faith in Russian built weapons in terms of upto date technology and reliabilty than I do with U.S. systems as a golden rule.
