Speedkore 0 Posted May 25, 2005 How many of you will upgrade your pc or something like video card,.... to play bi ofp2 when it comes out? I will do, i'm especially waiting for the game to upgrade it, because i want to play the game as good as possible. And sure i will buy a 64 bits processor, i hope bi ofp2 supports it. Garcia 0 Posted May 25, 2005 Ain't it a bit early to ask this? Anyway, most ppl will probaly have to upgrade their current computer to play it.

Mr ThunderMakeR 0 Posted May 25, 2005 I think a lot of people will be upgrading, it seems like there is more talk than usualy already about it lately. I know I tried to update my drivers the other day, that didnt work out too well lol. Anyways, Im actually gonna buy a new pc just for OFP2. I was gonna buy a new PC this summer but I figured I can wait another year and half in order to get the most OFP2 compatible pc I can get for my money. But I figure I will have to upgrade my ancient pc a little to run AA.
Garcia 0 Posted May 25, 2005 Can't say updating driver is upgrading your pc but updating drivers can be a bad choise with OFP...I gotta use a old driver in order to play OFP...if I use the latest drivers OFP crash hope it'll work with newest drivers for AA... I'm hoping to buy myself a new computer for OFP2.
tomcat_ 0 Posted May 25, 2005 pcs built for games...are going out of date every 1.5-2 years... given the OFP2 is supposed to be coming out end of 2006 i would save my money for at least another year...
gandalf the white 0 Posted May 25, 2005 I'd wish I could upgrade, but I won't spend $800 on computer parts when half of the netherlands is still suffering under the effects of the euro. ofcourse, if there is a new technology being developed when OFP2 comes out I might also wait for that tech
fraggit 0 Posted May 25, 2005 I'm running on a POS 800 Mhz computer with all the old crap that it came with. That is the best PC in my house. So...I will just buy a whole new system all together when OFP2 or whatever it's called hits the shelves.
RUKH 0 Posted May 25, 2005 Getting my new computer this week, but it´s a long way to late ´06 and ArAs should be quick enough on my new rig.
Antichrist 0 Posted May 26, 2005 I'm really worried about that. I just recently upgraded my PC to new MB and Athlon64 3200+ and was going to upgrade my Radeon9800Pro to RadeonXwhatever next since my current MB is AGP not PCI-E. So now I am wondering should've I got PCI-E MB instead? placebo, any comment on system requirements?

I think the PCI-E will give a most durable solution, but in performance will be the same, at least for this generation of grafics cards.
ArchangelSKT 0 Posted May 26, 2005 It all depends on when it comes out really. As it seems now we can expect a Q4 2006 release which for me is just in time for a new PC. Now I have just upgraded to a AMD XP 3000+ , 1 gig ram and a GF6600 GT, I`m hoping I can hold on to it until OPF2 will be released.
Placebo 29 Posted May 26, 2005 I think it's far too early and quite pointless to speculate about system specs/need for upgrading, let's schedule such a discussion for around 12 month's time
