tankieboy 0 Posted July 2, 2006 Whatever the "standard" is or will become it would be foolish of us not to take it on board.
GoOB 0 Posted July 2, 2006 Did I say the units look bloody amazing? I hate sucking up, but I just looked at the images again... They make me wanna shake the banana On a more serious note, will these units have the same customization features that were included in the original DPM pack? I really enjoyed making missions and having the look of individual regiments acting on the battlefield.
-HUNTER- 1 Posted July 3, 2006 The new textures look awesome, I cannot wait to play arround with these troops together with the SnatchRovers... Yeah dancing bananas for you all guys!
Messiah 2 Posted July 3, 2006 snatches were a day away from release back in janurary... then a last minute MP test found out the scripts were capable of causing a server crash (ouch) they're been streamlined since, and hopefully shouldnt be too far after the next release

IrishGuy 0 Posted July 9, 2006 will there be like black watch units or anything like that?
Messiah 2 Posted July 9, 2006 inc Scotish TOS. black watch being a scottish regiment
IrishGuy 0 Posted July 11, 2006 So is that a yes? If so will there be units like the Royal Irish Regiment and the Irish Guards?
Messiah 2 Posted July 11, 2006 sorry, I guess my subtle reply was lost on you... we've planning on including every regiment in the british army, including those with 'odd' berets, like the scottish regiments... so, yes, we will. We're still working out whether to scrap the old regiments like the MoD has, and update to the new ones... that will be decided with time.
tankieboy 0 Posted July 12, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Irish Regiment Hope so. Quote[/b] ]Irish Guards We have on our current release. Quote[/b] ]Black Watch Black Watch is now The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland (3SCOTS). The Scotish regiments have and will merge to form 7 battalions (5 Regular and two TA) under the name of The Royal Regiment of Scotland. Although this makes it easier for P:UKF to model one TOS, one Badge and five different colour Hackles, even as an Englishman I find these mergers sincerely sad. Eddie T Head 0 Posted July 12, 2006 Will the BFAs I've seen on your L85s/L86s (and were there yellow blank mags in your phot in the Combat Photo thread a few pages back Tankie?) have any purpose, i.e blank rounds for "training" of some kind, or are they simply aesthetic?
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted July 12, 2006 They fire rounds that do no damage so yea, they fire blanks effectively. Can be used for training or just for aesthetics.
Messiah 2 Posted July 12, 2006 They have blank rounds for training. It was essentially something we created as a thank you for VCB for all the beta testing they did, in a seperate PBO. Eventually we decided there was no harm including it in the main pack for other MP squads to use. Essentially it still fires a round, but it does 0 damage. This means its still possible to gauge if you've been hit (still makes the noise of hitting flesh), thus easier to carry out training ops. all will be revealed soon enough [EDIT] Or just ignore what I said and read what Da12th managed to post before me

-HUNTER- 1 Posted July 12, 2006 You guys are going for the maximum release? Because I am getting the feeling you guys are going to drop a bomb of addons on the community in a few...??? I cannot wait for the release of the snatchrovers they are great! Not in R/L maybee but they look awesome. And the .50cal is nice also, by the looks of it, it can be transported by three soldiers?

Messiah 2 Posted July 13, 2006 well, spare barrel by your imagination (i.e. we havnt bothered scripting barrel changes), but essentially you're correct.
IrishGuy 0 Posted July 14, 2006 Will you be making a campaign or is this strictly a addon deal?
SWIFT88 0 Posted July 14, 2006 Will you be making a campaign or is this strictly a addon deal? fraid not, as we are not a mod it would not be in our intrest to make a campaign, plus our units may differ that of the opfor units so we would have to tinker about with that which to be honest isnt really worth the trouble
POPKA 0 Posted July 15, 2006 I find that I dont ever play campaigns that come with mods or addons I spend most of the time playing about with them in the editor.
