FlashFX replacement Units

Maybe I missed one post, but did anyone made a full pack including everything to have FFXUR properly running and up to date ?

Sorry , I've done it , but the link was destroyed because the file was very hugh , and there's many of people who have just only a 56ko sad_o.gif , it's the main reason that I've kept addons like that

I think I'll wait the incoming version of the FlashFX before to do new replacements , because this one , will be usable on online wink_o.gif

Do i have to start original ofpr exe for the changes to take effect? If yes, it doesn't work:

"config.cpp/CfgModels.csla2_bmp2g: Undefinied base class "csla2_tank""

What does that mean?

I made it ! Installed the whole files as an addon and it DOES work - Great - Good Job !

Ooops, maybe I made something wrong but the default AH-1 chopper does not seem to be replaced by the one we can see on the first page  sad_o.gif BIS single player mission "Ground attack" (Attaque au sol) shows some kind of regular AH-1 ?

@thunderbird84 release new version of replacement units. Here's the changes you should make

*Switch blackhawks with BAS ones.There is a rocket armed pavehawk/blackhawk in the pack it is named AH-60 L DAP

*Switch us tanks back to INQ M60 and KingHomer Abrams tank.

Hi,

the use of the M1A2 of Kinghomer won't be possible because that

doesn't respect the period of the year 1985, the M60A1 of InQ is very old to be used during this period. However, I think soon of changing Blackhawk and also some other small things

My objectif is to make replacements respecting the year 1985 , for to be able to play a very realistic campaign, so if you have informations about the weapons at this moment , It'll be more interessant to do replacements

*BIS tracers ---> wolfgang new tracers

*BIS pilots ---> RZ fighter pilots for the a10 and the su25

and the bas pilot for helicopters

*BIS crashhawk ---> BAS blackhawk

You will need to find the VIT NAVY verssion if the AH1T Cobra for Marine units, this will be in a grey green cammo color, hat will be more correct for Marine units in operation, and find the TOW or SEB Marine infantry units. They are back in the wooldland cammo patern, with cammoed faces for textures, and correct weapon load outs even crewmen for marine based equipment, like LAV 25 and Am track.

Theses became aviable recently but the Marines only used this cammo in the Mount City, training area and dropped it, they stuck to the old urban patern commonly seen on the Marines in Halflife one.

The Army kept the AH1S for a long time till about early 2000 when enough AH64s were aviable to field to all units, I still see AH1S in operation as training birds and in the Reserve and Gaurd , just all Active duty units have gone to MSIP AH64As which is a updated A model with longbow capabilites and radome. Still not enough D modelds avible to go around, so upgrades to the A model came as a stop gap measure so all systems can operate in combat. This time period best to retain Heli freaks AH-64A even if Green was still primary colors.

Was messing with the AH1S addon to make it a bit more realistic for combat ops, like implimenting the having to stop to engage with a TOW missile, its a wire guied missile hitting stuff on the move is diffcult and risky to not get the guide wire tangled on the way to its targets. The AH64 was armed with TOWs first and refitted with fire and forget missiles HELLFIRE. Oddly the Cobra failed to get hellfires which would ahve exstended his life, it being a smaller target was still to its advantage, which main drawback was underpowered, Cobras couldn't take off with full weapons load and fuel, A few trys firring the flir and mast system commonly on the Kiowa attack scout choppers failed.

Due to the weight issues, and the big push for replacement to AH64s, which was a faster aircraft as well. the AH64 was not ment to be kept in large numbers, mainly the AH64 was replacing a degisignated number of AH1s, all were to be replaced by the AH-66A/LHX platform, which is no longer in the systems due to cost overruns and other failures that couldn't be corrected. Now just went with AH64s

@Bobcatt666 : Thanks for infos, that would be well if I replace the US soldiers of HyK by those which have just appeared, wilco US marines, I 'll get infos on existing versions of ah-1 and ah-64in 1985 in fas.org,my objective is that all is 1985

FlashFX 1.8 done by Nemesis can't be usable on mp , so he's working on the incoming 1.9 wich can be usable online without CTD , sorry but the problem of CTD wasn't from me

But don't worry ; This new update is like EECP config , but with mine you can play in Single with an authentic 1985 Units using the nice FlashFX effects wink_o.gif
