actually got response from still active creators.

This project is still alive and will be finished soon like

I'm really scared about posting into the thread of my

Couple of points.....

JW was right to report the digging up of a dead thread, however as the mod team have since replied that now makes the thread valid again so it can continue, for now

Chris Death if you post an update in your own thread about your own project it is considered a significant update and is therefore perfectly valid, however if the thread is very old it's always worth considering a new thread

Well folks,

We have it down to six critical bugs which we aim to iron out before we release the troop packs.

Unfortunately we appear to have suffered from high levels of desertion so the troops and footmunch's (at this stage quite old) PC-9M are the only units we have to release.

Currently we're hurrying to get them out before ArmA.

We also have Offtime's permission to use his VBS Irish Soldier model so something may come of that in time.

Sadly however our helicopter projects have died.

Our AFVs have died as far as I know as SniperUK has left the community and our CVRT is UKFs CVRT and tied into their release.

Our Nissan Patrol project appears to have died as Manhunter09 has gone AWOL.

I'm genuinely sorry for dissapointing anyone but all we can do is get the core of the project finished.

That's bad to hear Imshi. I was really looking forward to see some Irish troops ingame. Is the Piranha still a go or is it gone too? Would love to help you out but I am sooo busy with college, I hardly have any spare time lately

Will be ASAP, with basic configs, sorry guys but all the troops will do is appear ingame with default BIS weapons.

As for all the other stuff I promised but couldn't deliver.

Ps: Work is continuing on a small modern pack.

Hmmm that Dauphin looks sexy! Looking very much forward to the 80's soldiers too. What weapons will they use? FAL, Bren, MAG, K-pist?

That was the original plan mate, but we're just going to release them with the BIS FAL.

Unfortunately we're pressed to get the Modern Config finished, I might add in the Kman/Lt Hunter HK53 for one of the units but that will be the extent of it.

As it is I'm going to have to replace the head model myself (I have 02 but am a mong with it) but once they look complete ingame I'll release them.

Edit: I'll include information about the weapons and equipment of the day in the readme.

For people who care there are quite a lot of existing addons they can use to complete the picture.

Once again, taking on the job of config'ing this pack seems to have some sort of curse/blessing on the volunteer where their work life seems to become incredibly busy as soon as they start working on it.

So I'll ask again (if only to hear the echo in here) if there are any experienced (and they have to be experienced we've had too many well meaning guys who didn't have the knowledge) config writers who could help put the modern troop pack together please contact me.
