IceFire 0 Posted October 31, 2004 Hi I'm IceFire, I am looking for any OPF fan who really wants a copy of the Operation Flashpoint Game of the year edition but cannot find it. If you fit the bill, just respond.
dabitup 0 Posted October 31, 2004 No, but have you looked on the internet? and (assuming you're in the US) a local PC store? (Best buy, etc.)
blackdog~ 0 Posted October 31, 2004 I was trying to find one, but I finally just bought a copy from overseas. They are no longer sold in the US, it seems.

SpeedyDonkey 0 Posted October 31, 2004 maybe he has an online store   Or much worse: He's trying to make a quick buck by selling his very own GOTY edition..

Silent N Deadly 0 Posted October 31, 2004 Ebay is the best place to buy old and new games. If you can't find it there then....well then you won't find it, unless you buy it from a friend.
jakerod 254 Posted October 31, 2004 Im thinking he probably has one that he doesnt want and wants to give it to someone... just my thought though.
Silent N Deadly 0 Posted October 31, 2004 I wonder why he doesn't respond. Now I am curious. I guess I understood wrong. I thought he was looking for a copy to buy but couldn't find one. Now I understand that he is looking for someone who wants a copy but can't find it? Hmmmm... Â Â Interesting. -EDIT- If it's free I'll take it! I don't have GOY Edition, just regular and resistance. dabitup 0 Posted October 31, 2004 oh. I thought he was looking for a copy. I am so stupid.
Silent N Deadly 0 Posted October 31, 2004 That's what I though too.
joltan 0 Posted October 31, 2004 The funny thing is I can still buy OFP:CWC in my local games shop - but nowhere do they have GOTY or Resistance... I think that's quite a bad thing for people who buy CWC now (because it's cheap ). They'll have no chance to see how OFP improved over the time as they'll be stuck with 1.46... blackdog~ 0 Posted October 31, 2004 It looks like Amazon has it.Here. MfG Lee I ordered that and then a month later they sent me an email saying they couldn't find it and that they would refund my money.

shinRaiden 0 Posted October 31, 2004 Ebay currently has 36 hits for "Flashpoint", 2 of which are not OFP. Only 2 copies are GOTY, the rest are about half-and-half CWC and Gold edition.
Heatseeker 0 Posted October 31, 2004 Good, good. I have gold edition+resistance, one day these will become precious rarities and will be worth a fortune amongst colectors, ok, maybe not...
Silent N Deadly 0 Posted November 1, 2004 Ebay has what your looking for 99% of the time. Not too many GOTY editions but still has some....
IceFire 0 Posted November 1, 2004 To those of you who are wondering, yes I am looking to give away my copy of OPF GOTY. I am giving up playing OPF and any other video game permanently. It is in near mint condition. The box, CDs and everything. I have played through the entire Cold Ware Crisis campaign, I have never even opened up the Resistence campaign and only played the first 4 missions of Red Hammer. But it is too late. I am getting busy and video games or video game forums no longer have a place in my life. I am sad to give it up because it is such a great game filled with so much potential, and I have never truly had the time to really experience it in its fullness. Mostly because I dont know how to use the Missin Editor. Oh well.
Duke_of_Ray 0 Posted November 1, 2004 The Duke needs this, you really want to give it away?
Silent N Deadly 0 Posted November 1, 2004 Sad to hear you go. Â Â But I will take it..... Or your post count
Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted November 1, 2004 Did your girlfriend complain that you play too much? Â Â But I hope you stay around in the forums dont you? Anyhow GOTY is still available in the shops in Germany at Mediamarkt for around 20-30 Euro or so. I bought mine just five months ago. The message is, dont give it away, dont sell it and dont throw it. I a few years from now you gonna get sentimental and you will try to get the old OFP back. So I give you an advise. Put all the games into a box and ask an oncle to store it for you. In a few years from now you will be so happy about those souvenirs, and maybe they will even have a collectors value? Colossus 2 Posted November 1, 2004 I have it already and if anybody tries to take it away from me, I will make them pay
