blackdog~ 0 Posted September 29, 2004 Need walkaround photos? While "surfin the net, dewd" earlier today I came across this website. If you need additional pictures I can get them for you from a variety of sources (including myself) (my photo, from camp pendleton) I can record the engine sounds too (maybe) the weekend after this. Be sure that I will be downloading it as soon as it come out. same here in Pittsburgh PA. we got 5 or 6 ofem Green Orange Blue Purple Yellow Pretty Pretty Picture http://www.justduckytours.com/ interesting story bout the DUWK aka Duck. when put on trial they headed down to the beach for testing/show and the waves were deemed "unsailable" and the trail was about to be cancled.. perhaps the entire project too... but... out on the horizon.. a USCG tug overcome by the waves fliped over and its crew helpless.... driver of the DUWK wasnt about to sit around and watch these men drown... so in 6 foot high waves (if memory serves me well) she set sail. out to the USCG vessel, rescued the stranded sailors, came back to shore, pulled on land, they disembarked safely, and the DUWK got the USN stamp of approval on the spot. Â edit: oh yea and u think you could make a civi one for us city slickers that are fortunit enough to havem in our cities... so that the OFP civi population has land-water tour vehicals and flood rescue vehicls? and dont tell me OFP doesnt flood.. on teh rights days @ the right times that sucker floods most cities on most custom islands
DeLiltMon 0 Posted September 29, 2004 They use them for tours in London too, they've been refitted with diesel engines though. http://www.londonducktours.co.uk/welcome/
Pappy Boyington 0 Posted September 29, 2004 eh the Pittsburgh PA USA one's have prettier colors on em so nah lol im just kiddin. pretty cool how an awe inspiring vehicle made during a wartime, for war, could have such a wonderful useage after the war. ironic.... on how many anti-war hippies ride in that thing on tours still with the "war is bad" mindset. then again those same people use the internet too.. and the net was invented by the ilitary, for faster wartime communications. oh what an ironic tangled web they weave anyway back on topic, i still think a civi rescue + tour version would be cool just think the citizens of nogova being takin on nogovan river tours, same goes for other river islands *|chants|* civi version. civi version. civi version could call it "Just Flashy Tours" so that it remains free for any island to use

Although there are hundreds of DUKW's still in existance, it's a shame to see how a lot of them have been so civillianized. Then again it just raises the value of the vehicle for those who own them, so I guess that's a good thing (not to mention with the competition of CHICAGO DUCKS who purchase any and ALL DUKW's that they find no matter what) unless it get's hit by a 44 ton truck like one restored - to military specs - once was. Gotta go. Just really screwed something up. god damnit.

AtStWalker 0 Posted October 2, 2004 we've a little bug in "canfloat" option O_o AT
Ironsight 1 Posted October 2, 2004 Wow it's looking great
Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted October 2, 2004 Looks awesome!! The canvas looks a bit dark, though. But for the rest it's an ultracool vehicle. Normally the vehicle would be deeper in the water, but I believe this means having water in the cabin, right (because of the OFP-engine).
AtStWalker 0 Posted October 2, 2004 we've patched the "canfloat" bug and now the addon is under beta testing Tnx all
