sander 14 Posted September 1, 2004 Hi, After the marines have established the beach head earlier this week, the army now arrives to mop up. Among the new releases from Lowlands Warrior today are: * Leopard2A6(NL) by RASP * Minimi Para by Suchey and Earl * Huzaren Prins van Oranje (tank troops) in DPM fatigues by Matthijs and Sander * Luchtmobiele brigade (airmobile brigade) in DPM and desert fatigues by Matthijs and Sander * Korps Commando Troepen (army special forces) in DPM and desert fatigues by Matthijs and Sander * Limburgse Jagers (armoured infantry) in DPM and desert fatigues by Matthijs and Sander Also released are some OPFOR forces: * Yugoslav militia in M89 by Matthijs and Sander The Lowlands Warrior team wishes to acknowledge the kind permission from SCARS for adapting his Leopard2A6 addon and that of Earl and Suchey for allowing to create a standalone version of their Marine Assault Pack Minimi Para machinegun. In addition thanks are due to the Invasion 1944 team for use of parts of the MLOD US paratrooper, BAS for their desert boot textures and to Mike Schell for his crease texture templates created for Ghost Recon. Ofcourse, none of all this was here if it wasn't for the effort of the BIS developers of OFP. The units are available for download in a collector's pack and individual files from the: Lowlands Warrior download page In addition V2.1 of the RNLMC has been released to address some faults in the earlier released 2.0. Enjoy! Sander
GoOB 0 Posted September 1, 2004 That is seriously something! Impressive work LLW! EDIT: Do the Dutch Leopards ever use IR-reflecting webs? If so it would be really nice to see your Leo2A6 with a muddy IR-reflecting web

GoOB 0 Posted September 1, 2004 I'm not getting any sounds from the Leopard tank.(movement and gun)..The other soldiers are just fantastic though. Same here, I thought it was just my OFP. As this has happened to me in the past... But I tried another tank and it made sounds just fine. Whereas your Leo2A6 did not make a single one.

mr. Duck 0 Posted September 1, 2004 just checked it and your right. there is a problem with the ogg files. Â it wil be corrected soon.rasp What kind of problem is it? Cause I played some of them ogg files with winamp and I didn't experienced any problems (I actually thought it was a config.cpp problem). Anyway, nice job. I've been making a nice war on Nogova against the french with them (UK/NL vs. France) What's the status on the APC? Ga zo door man! Leuke units joh

the_shadow 0 Posted September 1, 2004 hm, there is sound on the gun.. (bute VERY weak, and the same with the MG (on the tank that is), but there is absolutely no engine sound at all... hope this can be fixed soon love that tank, and especially the way the suspension behaves in terrain... you can really feel that it has contact with the ground (cant say that about all addons), even better then the BIS M1A1 (and that has quite good), this is simply WOW... HotShot 0 Posted September 1, 2004 Is this all of them then? (no more releases i mean). The tank i gotta say looks excellent, really looks great, and all the men are looking good too (including the OpFor guys). They do look very simialr to the Marine guys though, although i realise they dont differ much in real life. i uploaded the individual downloads (as it wasn't till after i realised that, that bundle pack includes the new units too - thought it was just the Marines and weapons as before ), to ofpbase, in this post. EDIT: Uploaded the bundle pack now to here.
the_shadow 0 Posted September 1, 2004 oh, i hope the Netherlands have some sort of IFV (like the M2A2, or Warrior), would love to see that in OFP but i guess you plan many more addons then these, i must say they look great.... apart from a few issues, like the AT4 and the missing sound on the Leo 2A6 ;) (know you´ll fix those things)

sander 14 Posted September 1, 2004 Hi, Thanks for the comments. On the subject of Dutch helicopters, the RNLAF Tactical Helicopter Group uses the Chinook 47D and Cougar transport helicopters and AH64D Apache attack helicopters (one crashed in Afghanistan last sunday ). There is also an SAR flight with AB412 rescue choppers. Recently the BO105 light observation chopper was retired from service. The navy flies a number of UH14 Lynx helicopters in ASW and utility versions. There are acquisition programmes for new helicopters, the NH90 for the navy and a light utility programme for the air force, though the latter may be slashed due to budget constraints. The current Dutch infantry fighting vehicles are of the YPR765 family. They are slated for replacement by either the Ulan or the CV9030 tracked fighting vehicles which are now undergoing field trials. For peacekeeping operations Patria wheeled APC's are used. The Boxer is due to replace YPR765 APC variants in supporting arms. Regards, Sander

Johan_D 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Looks good, but.. I think the colors are a bit weak.. should be more like this: But it could be my monitor.. not 100% sure. The biggest question is: what todo with these units? do we get an Bouterse campaign? Current actions are only UN, and we all know those suck. Johan
ThePara 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Just a question but do the Dutch Special Forces wear K-Pots like normal infantry like you have them doing in this mod? Wouldn't they wear boonie hats or watch caps of some sort do to the nature of their operations? Also, what command do you insert into a squad leader to have the squad wear berets, I tried the readme command but it won't work for me.
