as you can see at ofp.info they have put up my a10

and i forgot to put a readme in the .rar and forgot to give credit to the WGL mod for letting me use thier gbu12/sidewinder models and some scripts.

-now some of the things things this a10 has is the new loadout from the wgl mod

-rounder engines

-rounder tires (not some block with some 2d textures)  

-reshaped cockpit

-spinning cannon

-new cannon sound

-recoil from firing cannon you lose speed when firing

-and some other stuff

how ever this was released about 3 weeks ago and i have already updated it with INQ's cockpit and some firing sounds im testing a little, this will be released in a few days.

Very nice!

That top pic reminds me of a time when I was walking on the moors and an A10 dived straight down at me. He was already diving when I turned round but then he pulled up a little and had clearly seen me, coming straight in 'til about 400 feet. Gave me quite a scare but was pretty cool too biggrin_o.gif

Nice, I like the A10, this is really good aswell.

One thing, could you implement flares scripts in it, I would make them selectable throught action menu.

Actually, you could do two version, one for the AI perpous, and another one for the player, you could ask about scripts.

TakeOfHim made a pack of scripts that are ideal, but his site dosn't exist anymore or hi moved site.

I have them if you want to check them out. PM me and I'll send them to you, that's if TakeOfHim don't mind you using his scripts.

Nah, there are few things I would fix in that...

a) more armament, e.g. 6 Mavericks instead of 2 (2x3) and so, until the takeof weight is filled

b) missing target selection when using Paveways

ya i was thinking of adding some more mavericks  and i think paveways can only be guided by lasers wink_o.gif

i think you should do the same load out as INQ's A10

that way i can use it in the new Y2K3 version tounge_o.gif

well im sure if i plop on INQs loadout and change some stuff on the config it should work smile_o.gif or should i leave that to you

anyway i got the grey version ingame plus added inqs cockpit of course with his permission wink_o.gif

Do you think you could make the Paveways actually look like Paveways and not MK-84s like the BIS "LGBs" do? There are quite a few good LGB models out there used on other aircraft addons you could use with the maker's permission smile_o.gif

For the loadout:

I will call the pylons by letters:

A - middle one, 1x, 2270 kg

B - between-the-wheels, 4x, 1600 kg each

C - outside-the-wheels, 2x, 1134 kg each

D - far-away, 4x, 454 kg each

D1 - D2 - C1 -[wheel]- B1 - B2 - A1 - B2 - B1 -[wheel]- C1 - D2 - D1

Okay then, now a selection I would choose here:

D1: left pylon: [2x pod of AIM-9 Sidewinder] right pylon: [ECM ALQ-119(V)]

D2: both pylons: some light ffar

C1: both pylons: [3x pod AGM-65x Maverick] or [4x Pod Hellfire]

B1: both pylons [2x pod of Mk-83]

B2 & A1: GBU-10

But that may be too heavy, dunnow, don't have good specs.

Well gave the new plane a bit of a work out, handles very well, hook trees and roof tops a lot less. Only gripe is sustained cannon fire doesn't reduce air speed. But its joystick friendly.

having some problems adding the 2x3 mave racks im gona try a few more things to see if it works but if it doesnt i wont add more mavericks

o and by the way guys this a10 is in mlod so you guys can try making some loadout varients wink_o.gif

The engines look much nicer now, we just need the rest of the A-10 smoothed out.

For the loadout, the A-10 should carry AGM-65Ds, but out of all the A-10 pics I've seen they usually carry only one per pylon. They also usually carry one 7-rocket pod per pylon, near the edge. Also the Sidewinders need to fixed, A-10s never carry one per pylon, just two on one pylon then the ECM pod on the opposite. And for OFP, the bombs need to be changed to High-drag Mk82, since OFP is a very low flight game you need high-drag bombs to keep from blowing yourself up. Also don't know if cluster bombs would be very good either, also considering the flight level in OFP.

Another idea for the Sidewinders is to base it off MCAR, since firing a Sidewinder is basically point and shoot, just like how MCAR works. And perhaps modifying it would prevent it from working on ground units and only against air units.

Why didn't I buy VBS1 instead of GOTY  sad_o.gif

because it is too expansive maybe? And doesnt support multiple gunners or swimable water or most stuff we would like rock.gif

the next version will come with a bunch of sounds from inqs a10, theres also a grey camo done plus i made my version of inqs plane, i just need to fix a few things and i will upload it somewhere. ill try to do some more loadouts later but not now smile_o.gif

notice the new mavericks,it also has some countermeasures too
