Nathanz 0 Posted June 4, 2004 Imagine getting reflective textures for vehicles and helmets?  Man I see a whole new horizone opening up. Yes as long as it doesn’t do a huge hit to fps that would be cool

Wilco 944 Posted June 4, 2004 From what the video shows, it does effect FPS whatsoever, hrm.
Toasty McGrath 0 Posted June 4, 2004 Not that I don't ttust KEG, but it'll be pretty easy to hide a wallhack cheat in this. I hope he can figure out a way to disable people from doing this.
4 IN 1 0 Posted June 4, 2004 well these kinds of gfx always eats up your hardward, and dont forget:OFP eats up hardward as well @Toasty McGrath sorry m8, but as it is basicily the same thing as wallhack, so we have notthing could deal with it, ppl who wants to have a wallhack stuff is always been able to do this easily without kegs' help, keg ,how ever, is using it in a good way
EiZei 0 Posted June 4, 2004 From what the video shows, it does effect FPS whatsoever, hrm. Drawing objects twice could affect FPS? Dear god..
aj_addons 0 Posted June 4, 2004 depends what your hardware is and what settings your using either way im very very impressed by what kegs done and hope to god he releases it
MSpencer 0 Posted June 4, 2004 That screen lag is probably attributed to the fact that FRAPS is recording a movie at the moment.
denoir 0 Posted June 4, 2004 From what the video shows, it does effect FPS whatsoever, hrm. Drawing objects twice could affect FPS? Dear god.. Not necessarily. The water effects are done through the use of pixel shaders which are implemented on a hardware level on the graphics board. Depending a bit on how much OFP otherwise utilizes them it will or won't have an impact on the performance. In the vanilla case it should be executed in parallel so no performance hit should occur. Wilco 944 Posted June 4, 2004 Denoir, I love the big sexy words you use, oh yes I do! P.S. The only part I got was the "No performance hit should occur"
Harnu 0 Posted June 4, 2004 Wow, that looks like some damn good stuff! In lamens terms and a general explination, exactly how does this work? How to pixel shaders work? etc etc. Sorry, I'm not much for this kind of stuff. P.S. Does this mean there can be hand held mirrors to check around corners?
