What a hero, knowing GTA he'll slaughter a few hundred (innocent) people along his way to prove his innocence, take his revenge or whatever.

Nothing in the GTA plots forces you to kill the innocent, the game is as violent as you are.

Granted, many people think that humans built out of pixels are worth less than you and I. But we all know they are just as human as we are ;)

And the GTA series have "anti-heroes" which we see alot of in todays gaming industry I suppose. Bored teens crave blood, rebellion and crime it seems

Yet these games are not marketed towards teens - they're marketed to the 60% of gamers that are over 18. Teens, IMHO, simply shouldn't be allowed to buy these games anymore than they should be allowed to look at porn or R rated movies.

to be honest, i was wishing they would set the timeline to a more current time like in GTA 3. i also kinda hoped they would have thought of maybe having the option to creat a character to play as in the game. personaly i like being able to feel that im really in the game. that and i wish they would find a way to get a 18 wheeler in the game.

Yeah, creating a character would be cool. There'd be something inheirently odd about watching myself in the 3rd person having sex with prostitutes and killing people that I might find disturbing, though.

I agree about the character thing, but I like the fact that they pick different time stages each time.

i enjoy the restricted acces early in the game... keeps new suprises and keeps the game going...

although would be nice to see all the missions streched over the whole city, not certain areas because others are locked... hmmm

well, looks very funky

looks nice, i always enjoyed GTA i specially like GTA2's Gang Respect system it was really neat

I guess this setting is the next logical step in the GTA series. Perhaps the next will be set in Silicon Valley? Or perhaps a foreign country... not to get ahead of myself, I will definitely get this game for my PS2 this fall and try to balance it with OFP2 and college (freshman year starts this fall! )

GTA London? been done (twice if you count the Getaway). and it tanked. if Rockstar does decide to make another GTA game based in Europe, i hope its anything but London. somewhere in Italy would be nice. Maybe Greece.

that might work, but than again, i've heard that the city of paris is trademarked. and i don't think the french would happy about a bunch of devs somewhere in scotland and U.S. deplicting their city as a crime infested shithole Sweden on the other hand is a definite untaped market. maybe the could include a feature where the airbags in all vehicles will deploy once you get into a accident.

Well, much like Liberty City (?) was New York, Vice City was Miami and San Andreas is Los Angeles, you could call it something like "City of Light" or something. Either way, I think barreling down the catacombs in a Vespa would be an experience. Or dodging dog poop.

i think San Andreas is supposed to be more like San Fransico. at least i hope it is. i'd really like to have a hilly city w/ a lot of jumps

I have fond memories in college of driving around San Francisco in "Crazy Taxi" on my roomie's Dreamcast, drinking beer, and playing Air's "Moon Safari" album.

The state is called San Andreas and the city is Los Santos (sounds like Los Angeles).

from what the post said its gonna have a whole Southern California Theme i guess hollywood/LA area with ghetto suberbs/maybe mountains and desert? or a nice coast area like san fran?
