Imaging on forums not appearing.

I have a picture..

I remember about 2 years ago i asked this in this very same forum but i cant find it ne more lol and i forgot how to make them appear.

I do remember, though, there was something that i put infront of the image that allowed others to see it.

Any Ideas?

And make sure it is hosted on the web.

First, get a free place to hold images. Try something like Freewebs. Then upload your image to your storage area, find the location of the image, then paste this destination into your post and put [/img] tags around it.

Nono, those dont work.

1. I have my own website with the images already on them.

A. The Image location (By Right clicking on image/Properties/highlighting the URL) and pasting it so it goes

{IMG}http://whatever{/IMG}

NOTE: Not accurate website.

And nothing shows up, just a little box and a little red X on the image. But I remember some1 telling me something to put infront of the URL that would go (img) http://frontofURL.com/http://yoursite.jpg(/img)

And it worked

Your host doesn't seem to allow hotlinking.

If it is Geocities or one of these free hosts, I recommend renaming your pictures to .txt and then trying to hotlink those smile_o.gif

EDIT: Bear in mind that this could be against the Terms+Conditions that you signed with your host and could lead to you losing your hosting.

A good image host is DomainDLX wink_o.gif

Strange, I hotlink from them and it works for me wink_o.gif....well I used to until I bought my own site smile_o.gif
