Hehe. True. There are worse Hollywoodizations that that though. It's not that uncommon for Hollywood to take a foregin film and do a remake where everything happens in America and all the actors are American and the language spoken of course is (American) English.

Well, I suppose it sells better. It does however give a slightly skewed picture of the world to the target audience.

I don't mind if people beleive it. Just shows how ignorant they are. I'm sure it'll become another fad(think of the sniper in Saving Private Ryan. As soon as that movie hit, everyone wanted to be a sniper. Praying as he murdered every person he was aiming at.Same with EATG) or not. They're just playing on general misinformation.

Personally, a person single handedly winning an entire battle/war/fight is impossible. But people will still beleive it.

But it does annoy me that as soon as the USA has finished plundering its own glory it comes after ours.....

Lets fight back, lets make a film about the courageous British guys who risked arrest and volenteered to fight in Vietnam, and who won every battle the US fought single handedly until they were abandoned as the US pulled out......then we can have them rescuing Rambo from a POW camp or some shit and claim its all real.....

Well allegedly a few British SAS guys were cross training with NZ (or Aus?) SAS at the time of vietnam and may have fought with them. So thats plenty of background support for such a film by Hollywood standards

only thing that i liked about that movie was the gun battle as they entered the German sub.

Michael Mann is a good writer/director, but I don't think I'll consider this for now.

I actually have a book written by a British soldier serving in Vietnam. It's a damned good story too and it's all true. He was serving with an American spec-ops unit.
