Ouija board

Recommended Posts

Yeah i agree it might be crap but no ones blind you know , if anyone moves the board thenpeople would notice ?

People do notice. A typical session will allways consist on multiple people accusing others of moving the board, and everyone denying that it's them that's doing it.

Hahah that would be fun biggrin_o.gif

The only time i've seen this board in action is in a horror movie/serial i think. Logic behind this is very wierd , why does a spirit only react to a board and not a keyboard or anything else tounge_o.gif

Just some random facts.

The name comes from the French and German words for "yes," oui and ja (ja is mispronounced with a hard "j")

The board includes letters of the alphabet, numerals 0 through 9, the words "yes" and "no," and a heart-shaped pointer on three felt-tipped legs. One or two people place their fingertips on the pointer, which moves to answer questions. In most cases answers probably rise up from the subconsciousness of the users, even when "spirits" identify themselves and give messages.

Precursors to the Ouija date back to ancient times. In China before the birth of Confucius (c. 551 B.C.), similar instruments were used to communicate with the dead. In Greece during the time of Pythagoras (c. 540 B.C.) divination was done with a table that moved on wheels to point to signs, which were interpreted as revelations from the "unseen world." The rolling table was used through the nineteenth century. Other such devices were used by the ancient Romans as early as the third century A.D., and in the thirteenth century by the Mongols. Some Native Americans used "squdilatc boards" to find missing objects and persons, and obtain spiritual information. In 1853 the planchette came into use in Europe. It consisted of a triangular or heart-shaped platform on three legs, one of which was a pencil. The medium or user moved the device over paper to draw pictures and spell out messages.

The Ouija enjoyed enormous popularity during and after World War I, when many people were desperate to communicate with loved ones killed in the war and Spiritualism was in a revival. In 1966 Fuld sold his patent to Parker Brothers game company of Beverly, Massachusetts. Interest in the Ouija picked up again in the 1960s and 1970s, along with renewed interest in the occult and supernatural.

Specop, there are much better and more constructive ways to waste time.

Thanks for the background info speedy smile_o.gif

One more question though , why a Goodbye section?

Is it necessary to say bye bye or else the spirits get pissed or something crazy_o.gif

Hmm...I can tell you people that these things are a load of crap indeed.

However...there is a real black majic out there.

Usually, I'm a hardcore reality freak...I don't believe in supersition or any of that bullshit, but I am absolutely certain that if you try real black majic (e.g.dealing with the filthy, conjuring jinns, ect) then you will probably turn crazy, commit suicide, or at least get the living shit scared out of you.

A close religious mentor of mine told me of it once and made me promise not to try it, ever. I've never tried it but whatever he says I'm certain is true. Basically, you say a few lines with a teacup in your hand, over these letters and numbers...ask a question in your mind and it follows with the small power shift of your finger.

Again, I really can't believe this shit but somehow I do.

Whatever you do guys, don't do it. If you do, make sure it's in a nice little funfair with lots of people, daylight and fluffy animals. You don't want to be shitscared when you're at night in the bathroom with a candle. tounge_o.gif

Tried real Ouija boards, they don't work. Either a friend pushes it, or if you're alone it doesn't move. Just another superstition of many people, kinda like bloody mary or baby blue (Both of which I've done infront of friends when I was younger to proove saying things infront of a mirror renders no effect.)

The paranormal...

Something I try to avoid as much as possible, because in my opinion, it is a force yet unproven to be controllable... never mind to be scientifically explainable.

I have been to a "fortune teller" before who uses numbered cards she inherited from her grandmother 60 years ago who inherited from her grandmother another 60 years ago and so on, and so on.

After each session of putting the cards on the table, she basically told every significant thing that happend in the past year. She also predicted things and some of those things came true as well... crazy_o.gif

Because for all the centuries of people claiming black magic eixsts, works, etc etc none of it has any evidence whatsoever.

Well in a way its a good thing there isnt much evidence of it not working , i mean if its so easy to work , half the world would probably be dead trying to curse or send spirits to each other tounge_o.gif

Apart from that how many attempts have their been made of gathering evidence for such practises anyway rock.gif

Very hard to say. And the amount of "evicence" one finds probably depends on how selective one is.

And you are an oracle?  rock.gif

So Mr Oracle. Tell me. What is the Roman Numeral for eight?

IIX or XVIII.

My point is. Why do you even bother to try to convince people that such a force does or doesn't exist?

You cannot possibly know all things. So why convey that you do?

Mmm. People can believe what they want. I won't be driven away to not believing in this.

But it's simple common sense, really...I mean in terms of evidence.

If you have been secretly taught the ways then I don't think you would go around telling people how to do it and prove to them it works, would you? Some things are best left to yourself, like this.
