Presidents?!

Recommended Posts

I'm really looking at my options now, and I don't want any of these presidential candidates.

I frankly, can't stand the Bush administration anymore, and it's hard to trust anything that comes out of Rumsfeld's mouth. I mean people, he's the SecDef, you should be able to trust him, without seeing him lie through his teeth.

Kerry (Who will win the primary, obviously), isn't close to outstanding. I can't stand what he says, his speeches, or even what he thinks.

Nader is... Nader..

So... what can I do if I don't want anyone for president?

Constitute a monarchy! Now all you need is a candidate as king. How about the Knight of the british empire, William Gates crazy_o.gifunclesam.gifbiggrin_o.gif

Seize power and let the rivers run red with the blood of the non-believers.

Vote for Nader.

He won't win but with enough people casting their ballots for Nader, they can publicly express their disdain for the other two mainstream candidiates.

Go into exile to return once have you built up your forces and can take power.

No but seriously, vote for the lesser of two evils. It won't be good, but it will be better than the other choice.

you left out the other canidates Edwards, (whos becoming more popular) Sharpton, and Kucinich neither of which have a chance in hell of becoming president and would be more helpful to drop out and support Edwards.

If you don't like any of the parties don't vote! Or put a blank slip in (do you have those in the US?) That way you are showing that none of the candidates appeal to you.

Labor Day: 1st of May 1886 "The heart of the movement was in Chicago, organized primarily by the anarchist International Working People's Association" <---United States of America  biggrin_o.gif

In response..."Chicago's Commercial Club purchased a $2000 machine gun for the Illinois National Guard to be used against strikers" <----United States of America crazy_o.gif

It is not surprising that the state, business leaders, mainstream union officials, and the media would want to hide the true history of May Day, portraying it as a holiday celebrated only in Moscow's Red Square. In its attempt to erase the history and significance of May Day, the United States government declared May 1st to be "Law Day", and gave us instead Labor Day - a holiday devoid of any historical significance other than its importance as a day to swill beer and sit in traffic jams.

Im european, and in my country either democrats win or socialists win...funnily enough they are exactly the same crap...therefore i dont vote, like +\- 70% of my country's population  rock.gif

And now i shall sing u a song:

Workers of the world, awaken!

Rise in all your splendid might

Take the wealth that you are making,

It belongs to you by right.

No one will for bread be crying

We'll have freedom, love and health,

When the grand red flag is flying

In the Workers' Commonwealth.

If you don't want to vote in principle for any of the candidates, one of the way to show it is to cast your vote for the least likely to win. You can also cast a blank ballot or a fill-in ballot or simply not vote. Denoir's method, vote for the lessor of two evils, is another method.

Frankly, I'm highly unimpressed by Kerry and there's a saying: better the devil you know than the devil you don't.

I am personally indecisive at the moment.

You really think your vote counts much? Vote for whoever, our vote counts nil.If the entire country didn't like the president that congress wants in office, they may not elect him.Our vote doesn't count very much, just a reflection of what the people think is all.Your only helping congress decision with your vote.

edit: I am still surprised of the people and other countries that actually think that the people in the US are deciding what president is next. And blame the citizens when a bad president comes to office, like we have a choice?

A drop in a bucket, you can say it doesn't count, or that it does. Certainly his vote will count as most Americans don't like Bush now either. tounge_o.gif well that is it will sort of count.... there is no populat vote tally in the end so, screw that

That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard today..

Sure you are electing the president.. has the congress ever picked the one not voted by the people?

And by re-electing Bush you show that you stand behind his past decisions.

It's the people who makes the election system and if the majority do not like it they can do something about.

And just in year 2000

http://www.archives.gov/federal....00.html

2 choices:

Bush

Kerry

Bush is, frankly, a total moron.

Kerry is, frankly, a total liberal.

Nader is, frankly, a Green party bastard. He didn't get the hint in 2000 when he got 2 votes?

Vote for tha Reverend Al Sharpton!
