Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted July 30, 2004 sorry, a bit late RELEEEASE ME [edit] sorry, a bit confused here. That's from independense day. 'RELEASE!' should be correct. [/edit]
T.S.C.Plage 0 Posted July 30, 2004 Mmmh, 9 positives here in this forum plus a couple of negs in an other. I'm not really sure about it...more votes could be helpfull in finding a decision! But if it's going to be release I surely wait till Lockheed Martin$ch has finished his "Military Objects" addon. I surely want to use some of his nice stuff on the map. blackdog~ 0 Posted July 31, 2004 Pardon my ignorance but is there any news on the skilift? And I say release the desert-not-desert-thingy..
T.S.C.Plage 0 Posted August 4, 2004 @ blackdog: As I know some problems with the AI-paths in and around the buildings appeared...but I don't know nothing else about it, sorry. -------------- Somebody asked me if I could place some original lights/laterns from the game in the new areas of the map because he had some problems with a "light" addon in the northern base (lights were "flaring" and some ground-textures weren't lightned correctly). Here's a screenshot of how it'll look... Greetz Plage

blackdog~ 0 Posted August 5, 2004 can you use setvelocity on those types of things?
raedor 8 Posted August 5, 2004 no, setvelocity works only with vehicles and stuff, not with men.
raedor 8 Posted August 27, 2004 military objects pack: release within a week. also this soon: Silola's XCam-console here's a bigger pic of the console. it's not only a debug programm, you also can watch every single soldier on the map with a camera, ask for his status, control scripts and give orders. as a special silola included his special effects which you can test with this console. pic1 pic2 pic3 pic4 pic5 pic6 pic7 we're translating right now his 30-page tutorial into english. /edit: pic links fixed

HotShot 0 Posted August 28, 2004 Well the explosions look excellent, and the Xcam looks.. intreeging (spelling?), the following soldiers bits reminds me of the Observer bit for VBS1, but this debug section, what exactly does it do? I know FDF Mod includes one, but i dont udnertsnad how it works, it's something to do with testing scripts... right? That's all i can gather. Quote[/b] ]yes, that's what happened. big x had problems with the ai paths and was quite disappointed & demotivated after that. Can you try to motivate him again? (Strip-o-gram?) raedor 8 Posted August 28, 2004 @"big x-issue": no. sorry. i hope he finishes it soon, but i can't do anything there. @x-cam: the xcam shows you the waypoint of every single soldier, you can add WPs, you can give orders to the soldiers or add and remove actionmenu entry for the player, you can exec scripts... you'll see
belgerot 33 Posted August 28, 2004 holy s*** those explosions are beautiful

Metalmalte 0 Posted August 29, 2004 that console looks promising! is it possible, that u can also stear soldiers placed on the map with it? i mean, give wp ingame or make em true/false if u know what i mean. it looks like, if every object/unit is detected on the map and u can change it and control it, right? got all that from the screenshots so far. so are we also able to control weather and times to see how scripts or units run by night, hu? great, im looking forward to this one! kerosene 0 Posted August 29, 2004 I was thinking it would be good for CoC missons, will it work along side the command engine or would it be one or the other?

Baphomet 0 Posted August 29, 2004 I noticed the Xcam bit on OFP.info. Will this tool be multiplayer compatible? I was thinking. If you were able to use the console just to simply create things, buildings, units, explosions... and control their behavior and issue orders in realtime. That would make for some interesting multiplayer gaming potential. Now I know that COC has problems with multiplayer in terms of allowing two commanders the ability to play head to head, but imagine someone who could create a co-op mission and add their own changes to it as the game progresses, if the players are doing better than expected. Spawn a random patrol somewhere nearby and give them a S&D waypoint. Or perhaps add random events.
