Hit_Sqd_Day 0 Posted April 29, 2004 Hi guys, i am new to the forums, but a regular ofp player, i was following the forums for a while now and had to sign up for a couple things. I just thought i would let you guys know that i am working on an island with all the new buildings, textures and most civ houses are from original Nogova to keep the frame rate at a good point, right now its sized 12x12km but i am already thinking of extending it to 25x25km. I cant post any screenschots right now since i dont have them here at work=P But i will post you some as soon as i get home:) Well i got a question for you guys too, i am using the dkm windmill, but placing them in WRP Tool will take away the spinning animation from them. If you place them in map editor they spin just fine. I am a mission maker so i know scripting but the config stuff is all new to me, all i know is that Mapfact had something in their readme for the Airport Buildings that fixed the prob on their buildings:) Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. raedor 8 Posted April 29, 2004 the scirpt is not in the config. look in dkms config after "class eventhandlers". copy & paste this part to your config and take the scipts (sqs files) from the pbo of the windmill to your pbo. but i think it's better if you ask dkm for permission before. raedor 8 Posted April 29, 2004 we're gonna release the xm8 in the next ca 48 hours. this version is not jam compatible and won't have the flashlight. a week later we'll release jam version after we fixed all bugs you guys found in v1.0. the part with the flashlight will be released in the next time (no releasedate...), but it's kinda experimental. In geometry LOD the "class" named property is misspelled ("hause" instead of "house"). When you place it (the building, I mean) in WRP file, the ladder doesn't work. But there're some other small bugs too in some of the buildings, for example the loading-ramp of the "Mine Ltd." is not shown on the map if placed in WRPTool. raedor 8 Posted May 14, 2004 big x presents his cable-railway addon on mapfact.net: pic1 pic2 pic3 pic4 pic5 pic6 textures are _not_ final. it will be totally scripted so that you really can "use" it. he is making a "normal" and a winter version. this addon is not made by mapfact.net big x only releases it on our page. note: is anyone out there who can host a campaign ~150-200mb? we betatested a campaign made by big x, but we don't have enough webspace. pm me or email me (raedor@mapfact.net) if you're willing to host it. thank you.
