Bergmania 0 Posted January 2, 2004 I'll give you about 1 min of flashpoint mayhem.. was making a mission when I suddely came up with this stupid idea.. ;-) Div-x encoded and around 7.3 meg http://w1.680.comhem.se/~u68003868/CAS.avi
FSPilot 0 Posted January 2, 2004 WOW!!!! How'd you get those F-111s to make that engine noise? I'd kill to have a flight sim that made those noises, no more stupid whining from MSFS engines.
FragMASTER 0 Posted January 2, 2004 That's an added sound file to the video.
Bergmania 0 Posted January 2, 2004 Yeah .. I cheated.. The sound isn't from OPFP. Added in Adobe Premiere , The screen capture program didn't capture the sound so I had to make the sountrack.. The F-111 sound comes from an http://www.anthonyjhicks.com and is a aussi f-111 flyby at an airshow last year..
noundo 0 Posted January 2, 2004 Be careful or we'll have another 470+ page topic!!! And the size of those video files would drive the moderators bonkers!!!
Placebo 29 Posted January 2, 2004 Cool video Looks like 2 or 3 houses were taken out too, guess that's the collateral damage everyone talks about so fondly
Milkman 1 Posted January 4, 2004 Two questions: Are you using ECP and what program did you use to capture the video?
Bergmania 0 Posted January 5, 2004 Yep.. using ECP and the capture program was HyperCam http://www.hyperionics.com/

svendejong 0 Posted January 5, 2004 Lupus, the link doesnt work and I would love to see your movie!!
toadlife 3 Posted January 5, 2004 I posted this somewhere in the ECP thread, but posting it again here seems appropriate. I'd recommend getting the High Quality version, and cranking up the sound for this one. ECP Demo (Low Quality - 6.1MB) ECP Demo (High Quality - 17.6MB) DivX codec is required to view! Made with Fraps 2.0 and Virtual Dub 1.4.8/1.5.

Placebo 29 Posted January 5, 2004 Weird, works for me in WMP, perhaps a codec problem, I'm at work right now but Gspot should identify the codec used Edit: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
Bergmania 0 Posted January 5, 2004 DivX503b is what is encoded with.. Nice movies! Ill use FRAPS next time so I don't have to reconstruct the soundtrack from scratch.. :-)
svendejong 0 Posted January 5, 2004 Thnx a lot placebo, that was just the kind of program I needed. @Lupus, what prog did you use to make your movie (wich looked nice btw )

Yeah it's a great little app, with so many codecs out there sometimes the odd movie won't work and I'm loathe to install one of those codec packs, would rather install individual codecs when Gspot tells me which one I need
Lupus-WD- 0 Posted January 5, 2004 Quote[/b] ]Toadlife:I can't play this file. WMP says "Windows Media Player encoutered an unknown error". Winamp won't play the file either. it's encoded with the DivX codec... you have to have Divx installed and it should play with any standard player. www.divx.com Quote[/b] ]Sven:@Lupus, what prog did you use to make your movie I use free version of FRAPS... And for a video player i'd recommand MediaPlayer Classic if it's not been done already... give it a try, it's the best compromise between simplicity, low footprint and versatility. (actually it's not a compromise, it's the best )
toadlife 3 Posted January 5, 2004 I have the divx codec. I make all my videos with the divx codec. :P I'll go and download the latest version. It's probably a version issue.
Milkman 1 Posted January 6, 2004 Hmmm I have one, but it is 190 megs and has no sound (Thanks Fraps99) Is there anyway to compress it and make it have sound? :/
FragMASTER 0 Posted January 6, 2004 I don't think you can record sound in the free version of fraps. I use movie maker to edit my videos and it compresses it when I save the movie file.

For the sound with fraps (free version at least) you have to use a external program and later sync it with the video. For this to be done, and in order to chose your compression type and factor and edit the video, you can use VirtualDub (free program) VirtualDub Homepage Now, if it's to show here, who really needs sound ? it takes some more mb's and bandwidth... well, i dont ;)
