Artillery in the works

I started to make a few light/towed guns a few months back and decided to post something about them

in the works are:

west: M101/C1, C3, L118/M119, Lg1mk2

east: D30

resistance: M48

if anyone knows of other guns that would be good just tell me and I'll look into it.

I'd like to see the M-777 for the West.

And if you're interested in making self-propelled stuff, I'd like to see the M-107 or M-110. Maybe for the Resistance side since they're pretty old. But they just look cool, tounge_o.gif

Are you planning to make this stuff UA complient?

We already have too much Artillery for the west thanks to CoC how about making more pieces for the EAST and RES sides? Stuff the west they got plenty...

I'm thinking about doing some spg's

east: 2S1, 2S9.

west: AS90, M109a4

resistance: give me some ideas

I'm going to have a few pics of the Lg1mk2 and C3 in a few hours.

With all due respect, we have far more BLUFOR artillery models/assets than OPFOR already, you should shift your weight towards OPFOR (soviets). When you got all the models and stuff finished, give us a shout at CoC and we can probably point you to how it can plug in to UA. (unless you already chat with Dinger behind the scenes)

We've got Hawk's MSTA-S 2S19 SPH, but it still needs to be made UA compatible. Also, I need help integrating UA into RTS3. I can make a UA Radio buildable from the con jeep, but it doesn't activate and let you grab radio. Please help...

bn880 I agree that there are already to many western artillery pieces but thats the way it is in real life the brits have the L118, AS90 the yanks have M119(same as L118) M198, M777, M109 and others, here in canada we use the C3, Lg1mk2, M109a4 the germans have the FH 70 and pzh2000?.....and the list goes on

but the former soviet bloc countries have set artillery, D20, D30, M46, 2S1, 2S4, 2S9, 2S19 I know I've missed some, but they have had these guns since the 50's 60's and they have no need to change them.

the point is for as many countries to have there own guns. the most popular countries that I can see from all the mods are USA England Russia France canada(I am) and when I'm done making a gun and release it and a mod wants to change it a bit and use it...there it is.

and the M777 is sooooo ugly that I think I'll make it last

so a revised list

west:L118/M119, M198, M777, Lg1mk2, M101/C1, C3.

east:D20, D30.

resistance:M48, L5 (gotta love pack howitzers)

no SPG's as of yet but I'm going to finnish my 2S1 sometime soon

Okay suuure, each "western" nation can have varied artillery pieces, but in OFP, we kind of have a _LACK_ of soviet artillery still. Just like with helicopters, we probably have a shitload of different US choppers compared to Soviet. Or maybe that's my imagination. tounge_o.gif

A cv90 with AMOS is in the works from SFP (Swedish forces Pack).

it is compatible with COC UA and is capable of 14 round MRSI (Multiple rounds simultaneous impact)

this means it can fire 14 rounds that will hit the target area at the same time (or almost due to limitations in OFP) still they will land within 1 second smile_o.gif

this means it is totally awsome biggrin_o.gif

no naval guns or self propelled guns with the exception of the 2S1 and AS90. I want to make it clear only light/towed howitzers

what can I say.....work sucks....girlfriend don't like computers.....not much time spent working on the guns....if anyone has pics or knows someone that has pics of the guns I listed please have them e-mail or something to me....and please dont give me urls of websites as chances are I've seen them all.

and if anyone has family or friend in the Royal Artillery and can get me good pics of the L118 that would be great.

thanks for the pics swift

m21man one thing I think most if not all addons are lacking is the true feel of the field....MUD, DUST and DENTS. all the guns I make will have mud on the tires trails and barrels. the resistance guns will also have rust on some parts

got to watch a video of british light guns hammering away at an Iraq mech battalion.

I just wish my country would call us up to have a little war. 6 years in the artillery and all we do on ex is 1 rnd ffe over and over again.

I'm also thinking of doing a 25pounder from ww2
