Yeah but now it's edited in a picture which could resemble A-stan or northern Iraq.

wich was my point...

it´s so obviously edited too, this thread should be mor about the "artistic" kind of editing....

not just pasting your face/body onto a different photo.

Neither of you guys are mods and he isn't breaking any rules. It's not like all the pictures that get posted here are that artistic. Calm down and get your panties out of the twist.

Just saying that it isn't wise to edit yourself in a SF A-stan/Iraq mission picture. Posing can get you in a whole lot of trouble especially when it concerns SF.

Riiight. All those kids that play AirSoft getting in trouble all the time. Or those actors in movies. Again, it is not against the law nor the forum rules to post a photoshopped picture of yourself wearing a certain uniform. He never claimed that he was a member of any organisation nor that the picture was real or taken at any location.

I think it's of really poor taste and disrespectful to pose wearing the badge people work DAMN hard to earn, just my opinion.

Haha - Fun scene there Brataccas, I like the last shot. Is it your car by the way? :S

Anyways, went to see my team play today, when I got to the stadium I noticed that I had forgotten my 300mm lens... So I had to make do with the 50;

matchdag1xe6.jpg

Excitement before the match... Swedish supporter arrangements are the worst, by the way.

fotbollju6.jpg

Another fake macro, dunno if it looks "real" enough.

And these two are old ones, which aren't really related to footie... But ehr, I'll post them in this post anyway.

And leave hornet be, it's he who will have to deal with comments from understimulated and frustrated teens.

Sorry to dig this one up again, but I just noticed something while talking to some of the other posters in this thread. So I felt the need to set a few points straight.

The 300D isn't even made anymore, and actually, for the price you paid for yours, I got my 350D with a Sigma 28-300, 256 CF, Battery grip, 3 spare batteries, tripod, carry bag, card reader and all the various shipped bits n bobs

Yes, the 300D isnt made anymore, which is what makes it "cheap" and an ideal starter for people wanting to get into dSLR photography. 300D's with a lens (usually the kit lens) and a few accessories (either a bag, tripod, battery grip or so) regularly sell for ~Å400/€600/$750 on ebay, making them HALF the price of a new 350D setup with JUST a kitlens.

Got a BGE-2 battery pack, SIGMA 28-300 lens, 256 CF card, 3 batteries, 2 chargers, multi-card reader, nice and useful carry case all for 1000€

Secondly, what you paid for your listed setup there was DOUBLE what I paid for mine. Infact, I've just about spent as much as you have, and have about twice as much kit to show for it. Which for a starter who is more intrested in having the kit flexibility and not brand spanking new kit (ok, everything I've bought since has been new) is a much better deal.

So for people looking to get into dSLR photography, the 300D offers MUCH better value for money than the 350D does at the moment.

For the record, having spent Å665 (Å10 less than you spent) I have managed to aquire:

Canon EOS 300D

Canon EF-S 18-55 USM

2 x Canon Batteries

Canon BG-E1 Battery Grip

Hoya UV filter

Hoya Circular Polarising Filter

SanDisk 128Mb CF

All the usual cables, booklets, CD's boxes etc

Unbranded Gadget Bag

(All 2nd hand)

Sigma 70-300 DG Macro APO

Tamrac 6 Camera Bag

2x SanDisk Ultra II 1Gb CF

Tripod and Monopod

Cleaning Kit

Which is an incredibly flexible starter kit, you have to agree...

Reading the thread on MP there is only one person over reacting there and the majority of other posters think he is an idiot for doing so. Hornet has the right to post those pictures without being hassled about it. If you don't like his pictures then don't go around whining about it.

So? How do people know he's Swedish when he/they only post a picture?

Quote[/b] ]thats not breaking the law is it.. ?

No but real operators sure won't like it.

And sorry but like Shashman I find it kinda disrespectful. Especially when you can't see clearly that this is airsoft. And I am kinda suprised Hornet does this being in the military himself.

Anyways enough offtopic.

atleast I didnt bash about hornet dressing up as a US SF soldier, becouse that is totally legal in sweden WICH IS WHERE HE LIVES!

and i also happens to "know" Hornet...

but i dont like that he posted a picture that is first of all

badly edited (or atleast very obviously edited)

consist of a phot that he have NOT taken himself (the afghanistan one, he has not been there)

but the fact that hi wears a lookalike SF uniform dont bother me a bit!

only the photo itself wink_o.gif

Hornet, feel free to post any pics you want, good or bad, but please, dont post more of those porly edited ones.

and to the rest, feel free to bash me, i only express my feeling about one particular photo.

Its great to see some real good technique coming out in this forum here... I especially like your ones there Goob. Real moody...The second one of the soccer game is freaky. How did you do that?

Anyway, I have just returned from the holiday in years, up in the far north of New Zealand. It started out as a bit of a bit of a Monty Python affair really... One of the most beautiful parts of the earth and it rained solidly for the first four days. I got a bit grumpy, but managed to get a few shots in...

Then on the second to last day my partner woke me up to say "Its a beautiful morning!" so i jumped up and raced off for a bit of a photo mission around Horoura Harbour, where we were staying...

Then, as i was taking a delayed long exposure of myself DISASTER!... Just as it took the following shot, the sand under my tripod gave way and my D70, Lens and Speedlight FELL INTO THE WATER!!! It was submerged for about 4 seconds sad_o.gif Now it is totally poked... Thankfully i have good commercial insurance...

The Is The Last Photo My Beloved Camera Will Ever Take...

HendersonPointLastShot.jpg

Wasnt really worth it was it?

Actually I enjoyed my holiday much more without the camera... I didnt spend the whole time "looking for angles" or carrying all my camera gear around... i actually enjoyed myself. My partner was quite happy about it too i think... Good lesson learnt here though. There are Photo Missions, and there are holidays...

The last day was the best... after i bought a $10 disposable plastic camera!

Here are the shots taken with the $10 Disposable... Makes you think dunnit?

hehe. By the way, those are 5kg Trevelly fish we caught. We caught 12 and kept 4. My partner caught the biggest one at 5.6kg!

I had to carry 20KG of fish back up the cliff and hills for an hour though...

Thanks heaps to Marty Benson, the best Fishing guide in the business! Cape Reinga Adventures
