Tovarish 0 Posted February 9, 2004 We've got both kinds in Canada, in fact, the squirrel I took a picture was chasing a couple of black ones around the tree a while ago. They seem to have left now though.

killagee 0 Posted February 9, 2004 Skulls Viper, That picture in Korea of the Glacier is the wierdest thing I have ever seen. We have heaps of Glaciers here in New Zealand, but there are no Tree's growing on top of them! And powerlines in front? Our glaciers move about 3-5m a year... Great photos mate. Well done. The apache was a good lucky snap. Maybe I should try and get my scanner up and running and post here...

Tovarish 0 Posted February 11, 2004 Some Ice sculptures from WinterLude (I had a couple more I thought were nice, but I found out the hard way that the low shutter speed on my camera's nighttime mode makes for blurry pictures if I don't hold perfectly still...and the difference was so small I didn't notice on the LCD). killagee 0 Posted February 11, 2004 Those ice sculputers are amazing Tovarish! Wonder how long they last? Sun breaking thru clouds xmas morning... Tovarish 0 Posted February 11, 2004 Those ice sculputers are amazing Tovarish! Wonder how long they last? About a week usually. Been very warm around here lately though. When I went there was already one that was broken, a WWI biplane with the left wings and the vertical fin missing. Most of your shots are incredible. I love the one of the two towers! Architekt 0 Posted February 12, 2004 Was this sunset 3 nights ago Architekt? I think I remember it. Sunsets in AK are wicked this time of year! Actually now that I remember it, I took those on the morning of Jan 1st this year. I remember that cos I had to go into the office that day to send some stuff to India. But yes the sun sets are awsome lately. I've seen some that are awe inspiringly biblical over the Waitakerie ranges viewing from Arch hill. Very nice shot above! Would you mind if I use some of your'e sky's for my architectural renderings? Where abouts is Castors bay in relation to mission bay and Kohimarama?
SKULLS_Viper 0 Posted February 12, 2004 My desktop now!Really good sunset picture you took. http://home.comcast.net/~dennyshunk2/desktop.jpg Here are the originals for the A-10 pictures. http://home.comcast.net/~dennyshunk2/A10_original.JPG http://home.comcast.net/~dennyshunk2/A10_original_2.JPG http://home.comcast.net/~dennyshunk2/a10_original_3.JPG (Ah also the pilot is performing a straffing run.Took him 30 sec to get back into the 2nd straffing run.(No ammo fired. ) The one place I wouldn't want to live in Korea would be Deagu.A really noisy place. You got a US army base there where UH-60's are always taking off. Then you got the Korean air force flying the F-4, flying around in full afterburner.I had to plug my ears when them things got close. There is a park bench there we built to commemorate my 2 year old neice who died two years ago. We go there every birthday, x-mas etc. Beautiful spot... I have some more photo's developed so i will put them up in a few minutes...
killagee 0 Posted February 12, 2004 OK here we go. Please let me know if you think I am hijacking this thread, but there wont be any more for a few weeks...
