Usmc gaia island

Something I noticed is that I get quite a substantial FPS decrease when I look at certain parts of the 'hidden' airstrip...You know the one in the West of the island. Apart from this place, and the town near the runway threshold of Birkitt Intl (baaad place for lag sad_o.gif ) I get no lag at all smile_o.gif

Hidden airstrip? I've found quite a few of those...

The most "hidden-like" one there is, is probably the one at the south-east most part of the map...

Any chance of getting some links to all these addons I need? Some I have, some I recognise, some I've no idea about, and some I used to have, binned, and now can't find for the life of me mad_o.gif

All the addons needed are included in the pack IIRC wink_o.gif

Make sure you download the whole addon pack, and not just G*A*I*A...

I've received a little bit of information from Tactician about his TactHeartbeat issue. Apparently some people may experience a bug when the heartbeat if they are running conflicting addons. At least that's what I think he said the issue was. His scripts are beyond my skill-level so I'll take his word for it. There may be a very small (100kb) update to the pack later on to fix any issues with TactEvents. Not a big deal, unless of course you're the one with the issues. I'll let you guys know if there's a tiny patch any time soon.

If you want to have everything, all the features and all the goodies, just get the whole pack. It's worth the download (says the guy who is biased).

Thanks for that last (2123) message Angus - I was about to ask a question re the Tacheartbeat thingy, but I'll run the mod again without any other .PBOs to see if it still crops up. As always, I'm immensely impressed by the support people receive in this community.

Yeah let me know how that works out for you if you run just the WGL addons and nothing else. I understand maybe it's conflicting with Suchey's marines, or maybe CoC UA. Not sure.

Well...

The download just failed on me yet again...

I came down after a good nights sleep expectign to find that gozilla had finished downloading the file and found it had reached 148mb, a bit odd since the file is smaller..

I am going to try without the gozilla (and pray the connection holds out!!!)

If this dont work I wont be seeing the island for what it is, something is not right with this for it to happen twice now.

I know how frustrating it is not to be able to get things working right, and I would hate to see you not enjoy the island as a result of a technical problem.

is there any chance of you guys making a MP only flashbang grenade? so any playable (non ai) units that are in a certain radius ofit when it goes off get a temporary white screen

the reason i ask this is that i was planning on making a MP CQB mission at Zulu heights, and the smoke grenades are ok but id like to have flashbangs as well

I had question, I saw several posts regarding the "TactHeartbeat" issue. Is this in regards to when you're hit/or die, it displays that error message and freezes the game. Looking at several prior posts I tried using only the WG addons vs. WG addons, and then again with other 3rd party addons, all of which resulted in getting the same error message. Was just curious if anyone else is having the same problem as this. crazy_o.gif

Yes I get the error message when I'm injured, but I haven't tried it with only WG addons installed, so I'll give that a try smile_o.gif

Ok, the Tactheartbeat bug is the same as the CoC_ObHum bug.  You will get a conflict as long as there is any other addon loaded in memory (does not have to be in mission) that has a

sounds[] = ...

entry in the appropriate section of the config.cpp.

If you suspect UA, go to the UA thread and dig up the procedure for rectifying the problem.

(we will patch it too, I swear)

You can do it to the WGL cpp as well.  The solution would be to depbo TACTEvents.pbo, and delete the line:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">

Sounds[]={TACTheartbeat};

This won't affect the heartbeat sound. In fact, it will make it audible.

And it's not a TAG issue.

I never said it was a TAG issue,Last time i checked the TAG USMC was registered to me.But It doesnt matter.

The addon TAG system Like BAS,VIT,ITA,OFRP,CWK,DKM,etc.

When did this become an official thing that you had to have registered?
