Ex-RoNiN 0 Posted September 26, 2003 More information Extracts: Quote[/b] ]Engineered from the ground up with blistering performance and high-end capabilities in mind, the revolutionary Mach 3.8 is a giant leap in personal computing, incorporating both supercomputing technologies and industry first original hardware designs. It is the first Super-BIOS™ (IBPT) and PuRam™ Technology featured personal computer configurable WITHOUT a System Hard Drive with all operating system and program files permanently sitting a on a Flash RamDisk. It operates at the speed of the maximum available memory bandwidth up to 8.0GB/s and is capable of over 150,000 I/O requests per second, with an average of 0.0% CPU utilization. No Hard Disk design, not even 15.000RPM SCSI devices in multiple RAID cofigurations can come close to providing a fraction of the real-world performance of PuRam™ Technology. toadlife 3 Posted September 26, 2003 I can just see a house burning down after the cooling system on one of those things fails. BTW, that's reallly a 3.2Ghz P4 CPU overclocked and cooled like crazy.
denoir 0 Posted September 26, 2003 Quote[/b] ]+Artificial Intelligence Auto-Recovery BIOS Next thing you know that thing is killing your family. It's ASUS criminal misuse of the he word AI. There's nothing intelligent about slapping a few sensors on a I/O device and writing a few if-then-else statements.

By the time I have the money to buy that thing it's outdated anyways so It doesn't really matter.
-TU--33ker 0 Posted September 26, 2003 I think that's the only rig you can play Resistance with full settings and viewdistance on! gimme!
Badgerboy 0 Posted September 26, 2003 Bah, you can get a P4 up to 4Ghz easily with a bit of clocking. (A nice water cooling system helps though) For those of you interested in water cooling, I highly recommend one of these. It retails for roughly 75 pounds* and is dead easy to install. Took me about half an hour. Its designed as a beginners kit, so you might want to move on to bigger and badder cooling later. Apart from the fact that is virtually silent, it knocked my temps down a notch. CPU Idle : 29c CPU Load : 43c And that on a XP2100 (1.7ghz) clocked to an XP3200 (2.3ghz) * (Why does the forum screw up currencies? 75 pounds appears as £75! Mods? )

Badgerboy 0 Posted September 26, 2003 The storage solution is impressive, but the FSB, and the DDR speeds can be hit by the overclocker. Quite a few PIV owners are running DDR4000 at the mo. I'm stuck on 3200 (400mhz) for the moment. If you want speed, you need to go the route of the Xeon chips. 2mb cache!
Frisbee 0 Posted September 26, 2003 This looks a lot like a Vapochill case. Don't smack me if it _is_ a Vapochill case The Flash HD idea is very cool, but for I think overclockers working with dual prometheia's get pretty close to the processor and graphical power. 4 IN 1 0 Posted September 26, 2003 Oh dear~~~~ i dont think i would need a fireplace in a cool winter if i got 1 of those........ anyway, i think God almighty would have BUILT/CREAT one instead of BUY one for himself , in a result of a PC-MAC Compatible hang less Computer which could do all kinds of crap with it and could never needed to upgrade

bn880 5 Posted September 26, 2003 Pice of junk. Just like any other PC. It's a damn single processor, what are you gonna do with that, you can't even design an ants brain with that kind of system as it would never keep up with image processing.
