Tovarish 0 Posted July 14, 2003 Tanks #1 T72  #2 M1 A2 SEP #3 T55 WWII Fighter planes: #1P-39 Aircobra  #2 Yak-5 (oh please, as if they couldn't say Yak-3...no, they had to give me a trainer...it's not even a damn combat plane! Whoever did this probably confused his 3 and 5 keys  ) #3 P-40 Tomahawk Dictator:  #1 Pol Pot #2 Mao Tse-Tung  #3 Augusto Pinochet *edit* Ok, so I found that the Yak-5 designation was also used for an experimental high altitude fighter...but that makes no sense, I clicked "stronly disagree" to fighting at high altitude

Skul 0 Posted July 14, 2003 Who makes these tests up? And how do they consider the 'credentials' for each type of gun? What's next? Which putrid smell are you? What electric wave-current are you? What form of pseudo-dynamic double-reverse tryphytron pulse are you? [Gareth Gates must die]
Milkman 1 Posted July 14, 2003 4. AMX-10 french wheeled armored vehicle with a 105 gun I know, thats why I am wondering how the hell that go there. No offence ran, but I do not like the AMX series of tanks. Poorly armored and behind the times, I prefer, anything over the amx tanks.
ran 0 Posted July 14, 2003 behind the times ? this thing has the speed of a LAV , the firepower of the latest M60 versions or even a M1A1 and the accuracy of modern MBT's and has an armor superior to most of the other wheeled armored vehicles the LAV with a 90mm gun , even though it's inferior in matter of firepower and accuracy has been chosen by the marines due to political reasons more than operationnal ones (eventhough i agree , it would be 1 more logistica hassle of having 2 kinds of vehicles) the AMX30 , that's a fact is obsolete , but it's a tank of the same generation as the M60 , and the good ol' AMX30's have been revalorised under the Brennus standard including reactive armor but are getting replaced by the Leclerc , one of the if not the MBT with the greatest mobility and smallest silhouette , and the leclerc IS the descendance of the AMX tank serie the AMX10P still does the job as troop transport and we don't ask much more than that to this already combat proven vehicle
