Over at The SJB Handgun Project Website you will find preliminary details about the forth coming series of Handgun Packs, being released by SJB. The series will comprise of 3 or 4 individual packs, containing 5 or 6 handguns (with several variations of each). Pack One, containing handguns such as, the Beretta 92F (Silenced, with more versions to come in Pack Two), the Colt 1911 (4 versions) and the H&K USP (5 variations) should be due for release sometime over the coming weekend (17th/18th of May). Several more weapons are planned, and will be disclosed closer to the time of release.

Please post any opinions you may have on the pack.

F.Y.I. The models are mainly imported from Counter Strike. The original authors will be fully credited in the read me file that will accompany each pack.

Very nice "handgun", really !!!

But I think that all addomakers make still the same weapons.

Look on screenshots. There are very nice Czech "handguns" made in Ceska Zbrojovka (in Uhersky Brod).

How does one hold a TEC-9? It doesn't seem like you can grip near the end of the barrel, and magazine-holding is only common in movies.

The Calico weapons were some of my favs in FAllout Tactics...so much ammo!

But a TECH9 would be nice aswell, ideal for your "stop the drug runners" types of missions. And that "Johnson Enforcer" looks great should be in game for your "crazy redneck" types of missions. But do what you wish, i myself would love a .45 Hardballer or some other modified version of the M1911

To me it looks like a cross breed between a Thomson and a M1, but i can tell it is inspired by the M1 carbine.

Work is progressing nicely, and release is now schedueled for Friday. (It would be Thursday, but Striptease is on UK television so I'll be watching that)

Not at this present time, but upon the release of Pack Two (ETA = UNKNOWN), I will release an update to Pack One, fixing any bugs that missed the BETA testers (hopefully very few do), and adding to the weapons with new configurations etc.

I'll add the black USP to my "Things to do..." list

Tomorrow (Wednesday) I will release details about the previously secret weapons that will be included and let you all know what they are.

I'll also have a rough idea of the final file size, which I am sorry to say, will be rather large (around 9/10MB). This is primarily caused by the pack consisting of 5-6 PBOs each with several models in each, as well as the textures and sounds.

The models will be binarized to reduce the file size, as well as being packaged in .zip .rar and .cab files to enable those with limit bandwidth and/or slow connections to still be able to download them.

I think it's most popular use was home defence - just one look at that thing would make most crooks have second thoughts.

If I'm not mistaken, this was one of the weapons banned under recent changes to US gun laws (regarding magazine capacity)...I don't know the full story, so I'm a little hazy on the details.

Another favourite of mine is the LHC (Ladies Home Companion) - basically a scaled down Striker shotgun chambered to fire .45-70 govt rounds.

But I think the SJB handgun project is aimed at more common pistols in use around the world rather than weird and wonderful stuff I've been suggesting
