blackdog~ 0 Posted May 25, 2003 They added Ondrej to the team page You people make him angry! Love his music, I demand you love his music! Now!! Love this guy's music too! Love his music, I demand you love his music, now!! Speaking of Mr. Ondrej - I think that all of his music samples are computer generated and he doesn't have his own orchestra or anything like Hans Zimmer does. He probably has a few people who can record samples for him, especially violin, because as I hear, czech is very famous for violinists

Cannon Fodder 0 Posted May 30, 2003 I'd much rather listen to music from the time period in which the game is set. Definitely adds to the immersion - which is perhaps Flashpoint's biggest draw.
sdes 0 Posted May 31, 2003 I think that the artist like Beach Boys have good songs for Vietnam campaign.
Skul 0 Posted May 31, 2003 I think they should have a little bit of 70's music. Elvis, Queen, etc. Maybe some music from different eras for little variety...? P.S. This thread is STILL on the first page?!
The Frenchman 0 Posted June 2, 2003 This is what I think: Vietnam should be using flutes and percusion instraments: Example Africa should be like vietnam, only with brass instraments: Example And finally, The jugoslavia campaign should have a choir and brass that would represent Russians and fiddles and flutes as....um.......the other guys. Example Longest post, YAY!

This thread is STILL on the first page?! Queen's from the 80s m8 nope. Quote[/b] ]The first album, simply entitled ‘Queen’ was released in July 1973. The band's first single, ‘Keep Yourself Alive’, was taken from this album, and it failed to chart - the only single in their entire career that did from Queenonline.com. Poet 0 Posted June 12, 2003 You all know we just must have Adagio For Strings, aka the 'Platoon' & 'Home World' theme. Yeah! And BIS should make a mission where one of your men gets left behind and you fly off in a chopper and see him getting chopped down by VC! They should also include a Beach Invasion set to Flight of the Valkeryies with Napalm and Surfing .... [/sarcasm.] I'd just hate to see OFP going for the quick cheap commercial dollar it would pull making just another Vietnam film rip-off game ... I loved that OFP came with its own original score and soundtrack, I sincerely hope BIS continue like that with their future products. As I said before, let the Mission makers out there make all the film based missions, they can then add any music they like!

SEAL_Sniper 0 Posted June 17, 2003 How about... George William Scott? MGS2 anyone?
FallenPaladin 0 Posted June 17, 2003 That would be to Rock-ish in my eyes (the movie ) . I don`t know if that would work with a game like OFP 2. Better something like in Platoon or We were soldiers. I prefer sad and slow music in war movies.

Bluesman 0 Posted July 29, 2003 Doors, Rolling Stones, CCR, Stooges, Cream, Alman Brothers, T-Rex etc would be fine for Vietnam, Pink Floyds Dogs of War for Africa perhaps(all great music nonwithstanding) but you all forget something. These pieces doesn't come for FREE. Did anyone stop for a second and wondered about copyright and licensing fees in this era of downloading stuff? If you think these would come cheap, think again. They are all owned and protected by the big music corporations and they would be sure to charge good for them. Question is how much of BIS budget you want spared for gameplay and how much for licensing fees? The main reason for using Seventh and what not is that you can get them for an affordable price. That goes for some of the classical music that would be appropriate. Btw I bet you can get Wagners Valkyrie Dance for cheap (if it's performed by some lesser known symphony orchestra). Apocalypse Now, wohoo BM
