This is the first I've heard of this pack, looks great-

SJB Special Reaction Team Addons page

From the site -

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">After some thought and discussion with various "advisors" within the OFP community, I have decided to make several new weapons for the S.R.T. Pack. These weapons will include:

- M249 SAW Machine Gun

- Glock 18 (Silenced with LAM)

- A new M24 Model

- and possibly a Barret M82A1 (.50 Calibre) Sniper Rifle

As making the models and the config.cpp files to go with them takes time, the S.R.T. Pack will be postponed yet again. My apologise to those people who are looking forward to the units and weapons.<span id='postcolor'>

Hmmmmm...

soldier.jpg

The textures on this soldier by Maac & Marfy, and the textures on the other soldiers on that site sure look familiar...

Otherwise, I like 'em...

Koolkid01: Textures look different because of different contrast & brightness on those pictures... unless you are right and they aren't the same.

It just looks fishy because I know that almost no other MOD team can meet their texture quality.

Maybe both of their textures are taken from the same original source photo?

Maac & Marfy make their textures by hand...

OK people I think we are getting pretty paranoid about this copyright stuff, it's not even funny anymore. Let him do his thing.

Well I was talking about Maac and Murphy's ones not about the Lost Brothers ones, I don't have those soldiers.

However I don't think SJB is the kind of the person to make that confused.gif

that copyright stuff can kiss my @ss !!<span id='postcolor'>

Obviously you don't spend weeks developing custom textures.

Those textures are from the HK pack, along with the models... the uv mapping and the textures ( from Team factor ) gives them away. Good start.

Looks like a good start though... even if a bit too cartoonish for my tastes sad.gif

Nice idea though.

First of all, thanks for all your comments about the addons and weapons. Secondly, Landwarrior87 and Ebud are correct in saying that the textures are from the HK Pack by the Lost Brothers team (Vipersheart etc.). Before Vipersheart (leader of the Lost Brothers Mod at the time) left to join the army and kick some ass, I spoke with him about using his textures from the packs and he gave me permission to do so.

His, and the other textures I borrow from other addons will be fully credited, and if I miss anyone, I will make an ammendment on the site.

Thanks for all your comments by the way.

Thanks for setting the rabble straight.

Maybe now we can continue discussing this addon instead of whining like a bunch of lawyers with PMT. tounge.gif

I'm glad I've cleared the air a little.

The link to the site is here

No release date has been confirmed (although the site says different). Its bascially gonna be released "when its done"

I'll post news here closer to time of release so you can keep track.

Also check the site regularly to keep track of new updates

etc.

By the way Major Fubar, I like your signature/banner tounge.gif

Ok, where should i start?confused.gif Well first of all this is an awesome addon. It really took me by surprise! As far as bugs there are a few as expected in beta stage. First and foremost are the m4's, damn they look beautiful, love the peq's. But.....on the m4 acog, the acog is missing textures and the flash looks real blocky. On the m4 reflex, all the textures are there, but your reflex sight has the same zoom and everything of an acog. The top nob on your m24 rifle is also missing textures. Oh, and damn nice beretta. Really great work, and if you get those bugs out of the m4's sometime soon im going to use them over the bas one's, sorry ballistics confused.giftounge.gif

Working on the bugs now. The missing textures of the M4 Models is a result of me having previously made them for a seperate addon, but having decided to use them with the SRT2 Pack, I must have forgotten to re-map a few textures from the old path, to the new path. Won't take long.
