JAP 2 Posted February 4, 2003 Seems the battlefield 1942 community is also doing a starwars mod or at least some units..... What i like to see is that biiiig vehicle the small robotstealing creatures drove in the first starwars movie. Dont ask me the name, it s soooooo long ago ... /edit.. Found it. It was the sandcrawler You probably will know, but on starwars.com there s a complete databank of all the stuff that was ever in one of the episodes. The Databank Cheers
miles teg 1 Posted February 4, 2003 I just hope someone makes some Ewoks. Â Of coarse the height issue might be a problem. Â Â Â Giant Ewoks? Â Chris G. aka-Miles Teg<GD>
mr. Duck 0 Posted February 4, 2003 Hehe, W40K, I see you making some space marines (well atleast some vehicles). I wonder if these marines have the ability to go prone, especially when they have such heavy armour on. By the way, you ain't planning on making the marines just as big as normal guardsman are you? They we're like what, 7 feet tall? This should be good.

CanadianTerror 0 Posted February 5, 2003 Good job guys, I for one enjoy all the different types of mods that come out as it really shows off all the ways to mod the game. My only concern really are some of the textures...some of the Warhammer units look like they need just plain better ones.

CanadianTerror 0 Posted February 5, 2003 Actually, they do tend to send landing partys to other planets like ALWAYS! Where do you think "Beam me up Scotty!" came from?

Thats what operation flashpoint would be good for. They even made a game: star trek away team. it would be easy to make a star trek style planet in flashpoint,

ArchAngel4507 0 Posted February 5, 2003 CanadianTerror yes i agree with u, textures can always be better, they're something that can always be improved, and i know this with my self, im never happy with my textures, theres always soemthing i want to improve with them, unfortunately we dont have a full time texturer, our textures are usually left up to the modellers to create, however Bishop and Spad, are both good texturers, but but their primary tasks are else where, its also one of the major delay's holding up our addons, as like i said, especially with some of the addons that iv mostly made, im never fully happy with the textures, they can always look better, its a matter of coming to decission of when is the texture good enough, cause its never gonna be perfect, how many times must it be re done, and improved before it's satisfactory. Culexus 0 Posted February 7, 2003 Just a couple of answers for people regarding our WH40K mod: We will be doing our best to fully recreate the abilities of WH40K units in OFP, hopefully including an effective close combat system and possibly psychic powers, rather than just OFP with WH40K units. Also, our Space Marines should be the correct size. Also, I'd like to give the Eldar at least a small part in our first campaign, but this depends on the time we have available and how much of their stuff has been completed.
