any object that looks like a REAL gun or rifle are illegal.

I've got reliable sources in Airsoft communities.

Even an airsoft club selling airsoft replica's got mopped up by a Dutch SWAT team.<span id='postcolor'>

so even if u just have it in ur own home and u dont run around waving it outside its illegal ??

OFP is fun, but not illegal... tounge.gif

Yes, everything that looks like a real gun is just plain illegal, even if you just keep it in your house.

There were some reports i've heard in the airsoft community that the police came to their houses. They asked if they could check on airsoft guns, without a warrant.

Anyway... we're lucky we have our southern neighbours where airsoft is completely legal. xmas.gif

Btw, i think im getting an M4A1.

What are you talking about?

Weapons or something that looks like a weapon aren't illegal as long as you make sure no one can complain about it. Use a silencer when shooting in your garden and make sure you don't walk on the streets with one of those things in your hands.

An update on the tank i'm working on, its nearing completion smile.gif some pics

tank1.jpg

tank2.jpg

I did allot of work on the tracks to make them look good. I painted them rust colour and then drybrushed them with a metal colour to make it look like the rust had been worn of where they contact the ground smile.gif

P.S. If you are thinking about giving some thing similar a go one hint .... DONT USE REVELL PAINTS! they are crap sad.gif I did and they are basically lots of thinner with some pigment (if your lucky) i just let them dry out for a day before using them otherwise even the matt colours come out as high-gloss.

my newest project, A US Army M48A3 Patton

oversized pic, thanks ralph

m483.jpg

m484.jpg

And no the giant TV on the barrel doesnt recieve MTV (its a InfraRed projector) smile.gif Im also working on a M151A2 MUTT (a jeep thingy) with a mounted m60 (like in ofp!!!wink.gif after that im gonna build a merkava (allready bought it)

I must say, having been mainly a airplane modeller for years, this has been a fun experience. I've actually learned allot from it. Before the terms "roadwheel""Idlerwheel" and "drivesprocket" were complete nonsence to me, now i know what they are smile.gif Also seeing a T-55 model and m48a3 model of the same scale together is a cool thing. The m48 is HUGE compared to a T-55 which is fun to see smile.gif Also, it this is just me, the T-55 looks meaner ... odd but true smile.gif

Nice models,I agree on the painting being frustrating, but you did a good job.

You should take a pic of them together as a comparison. smile.gif

I still have a 1/35 Fuchs (ABC detection version) here, you make me want to start on that smile.gif

The M151 in OFP has an M2 Machine Gun (.50 Caliber Browning). smile.gif

So ha! I want to see some pictures... what brand is it? I am thinking of buying a model of an M151 for myself.

I've been in an M-48, hugeass tank with a vista view from the commanders copula.

{EDIT} I meant commanders copula, the hatch on the copula was welded shut.

The size  comparison pics smile.gif

The m48 is wider then the T55 (which is AFAIK its contempory)

m48t551.jpg

Higher then the T-55 (Ive been told that that sucks for hull down ingagements)

m48t552.jpg

And longer then the T-55

The T-55 is a far better tank then the M-48, but the M60 soon changed that fact, then the T-72 changed THAT fact, and thne the M1 abrams changed every fact.

All we're missing now are miles-per-gallon statistics, sticker prices and JD Power ratings. smile.gif

every fact? so down is up and up is down? nooooo! we're all gonna float off into space now!!!

but seriously, nice tanks. so much nicer than what i make: glue stains, unpainted, wonky bits, and soon broken. and modern military models are so much nicer than those 40k ones. they're much more detailed and nice looking, and i don't really like the games, they're too slow-moving. what the world needs is a mod for ofp, so we can forget bout games workshop's overpriced models and build lovely proper tanks smile.gif

now it may just be me, but for some reason of all the vehicles in OFP the T55 seems to be the vehicle that i seem to be the most satisfied blowing up. i duno why, its a rather weak tank and destroying somethink like a Abrams or T80 would make ya more manly and thereby making it more thrilling but this seems the vehicle that i like to destroy the most. does anybody else seem to share this?

my models arnt really good either, i had a model of a Mi-24 hind and it was going all well till i stupidly put too much glue on the rotor peice and the stupid stuff melted most of the rotor axil and the part ware the rotors meet.
