ANYWAY i have an olive tree in my backyard and it looks a bit like the ones in ofp biggrin.gif

I'd like to see more fallen trees in forest, and not only small stumps, but larger trees that can provide better cover. I would also like to see large rocks in forest, and maybe some large clusters of thick bushes. And also some small clearing in the middle of forests. I know that the forests in OFP are pretty small, but like on the Ia Trang user made island, there's LZs made where a space is surounded with forests. It makes more interesting landings when you don't know where the enemy can be hiding and shooting from.

Yes, I liked those too, on Everon I think, there are a few 3 sided clearings - the one where it was a helicopter base in the first campaign. Also there is that base in the forest on Kogujev. But there really arnt any absolute clearings - I have landed a OH-58 in a forest before, survived, and been able to take off again.

I like those new forests on Nogova. They look best in the morning. I also like those old forests on Everon and Kolgujev.

I'd like to see more underbrush. perhaps when computing power increases, we will see such a thing.

I'm gonna have to say my favourite forest is the dense coniferous forests from Everon. The bushy things on Malden don't disguise you enough when attacking a base such as in a game of RTS2 or whatever.

Also, it's more of a challenge to land your chinook in tounge.gif

I think there is a forest fire addon...... but as for a script Im not sure? kegetys made tanks burn when they die...... maybe it wouldnt be to difficult to do this?

Ive thought that a mod for that might be kind of interesting. Here in California we have tons of forest fires and there are tons of different types of aircraft and shit the CDF has to fight fires.

That is actually... wrong. Unless you increase the amount of forest on a constant base or make sure that none of the wood starts to rot after a while it is no real carbon sink. All carbon taken from the atmosphere is at some point returned to it - the last bit when the wood burns, rots or gets eaten up by animals/bacteria... The amount of wood that actually gets buried deep enough to be stored for millions of years is so small that it doesn't really count in the equation (only if you think in VERY long terms). It's rather a cache than a storage to put it in words that you nerds might understand... wink.gif

Forest fires, well you can use these:

CAT Fire effects

These are some very, VERY big fires that can be used for forests.

Napalm

Napalm is quite nice. Although after you release the bomb designated as napalm, you vehicle immediately straightens out. So you can do a napalm dive bomb in an LGB. tounge.gif

I hate forests - They make my computer crumble sad.gif

Nogova's are the best, but it would be good if there were fallen trees, rotted trees and so on...Mebbe even weeds tounge.gif
