Did anything been removed in ofp before

Did CodeMasters remove anything before they made OFP public?

I know that Take2 removed things in GTA 3 because it was to violent. Or maybe it was another game, but other games also have things that the players isnt allowed to use cause the publisher removed them cause of they thought it was to violent.

I'm too lazy to check the OFP demo that I still have installed from way back in spring of 2001...

Wasn't there the "V" view (iron sights) from the M203 grenade launcher in the demo but not in the game. Anyone knows why they were removed? The multi-grenade launchers do have iron sights view, but not the m203 nor the russian one.

The first west jeep was replaced by the one we have to today. The jeep featured in the demo is similar if not the same as the one the resistance have.

Well its nice to know.

I wonder if anything that was removed would make OFP more loved or less loved who knows?

From some reason I think they removed the ability for a missile to turn with the turret its on, since there was a screenshot of a BMP w/ missile, which it does not and can't have now. Anyone know why they did this? Just to annoy the hell out of us? biggrin.gif

i know that in the demo the shilka had a turn-out able drivers position, like, when ur driver u could turn out.

But this has been released for flashpoint v1.0

Yeah, the jeep did used to be the same as the current resistance jeep but didn't have FIA written on the bonnet.

Someone should alter the resistance jeep to get rid of the FIA and make it a west jeep.

So far we don't know if it was a Codemasters demand, for any of the above...

I would like to have an ironsight for the attached grenadethrowers, too. Because I play with all the hud-helps disabled (I always aim by ironsight) , I usually loose one grenade, my first one, because that`s the indicator for me how to aim with the next one. sad.gif

Soldiers also used to be able to have flashlights -- those are gone.

And as previously mentioned, missiles on the BMP and machine guns for tank commanders were taken out.

The aiming reticle was changed (improved) as previously mentioned to help provide feedback for bullet drop and dispersion resulting from recoil and physical stamina / health.

Hi All,

Well in early Screenshots the Russian Boat used to have guns on the front,maybe the Mi17's 30mm machine gun of the front worked.and in the resistance demo they added a Russian boat marked with FIA to the resistance side,wonder why we can't have that?that charactor in the early resistance photos with the Shoulder Holster...and others Hmm.....

How did iron sights on an M203 work? Firing it all depends on angles and elevation, how the hell do you get a sight for that.

the turn out for shilka rocked.. so easy to take out the diver.. and he looked cool wink.gif

and well, they took away the old "allowdamage".. but guess thats been up like 100 times before..

yeah, im confused about the aiming thing really. 'cos its the normal one for most stuff, but when you put your gun on your back or use a machine gun or anything, its the old one.

Just a tad confusing that is.

I do prefer this new aiming thing though, it looks more professional.
