Just a quick poll.

Me and my friends were playing LAN last night, and were discussing this, after we commented on the sometime lack of good user made missions, partiularly co-op.

If BIS we're to release mission packs, say with about 40 or 50 missions (SP, MP adversarial, and MP co-op), and charged a reasonable price for them, would you buy them?

There are some great mission makers out there, but I still think official BIS missions are some of the best made.

Anyway, what do you guys think?

Yes, I meant fully BIS developed and marketed missions...like the ones that come with the game and with some of the patches...

I might depending on the price of it. I dont want to pay 50 bucks for just some missions.

I doubt BIS will do it though. they are probably too busy to do this sort of thing.

yes, i'd at least consider it. However I'd buy an official campaign at once, without even thinking, flashpoint campaigns are just so great...

i agree, u just cant beat a good old BIS mission

they seem to balance their missions exceptionally well, and atmosphere is much better too.

The poll is badly done. Why didnt you simply put "yes" or "no". Of course it still would depend on price and content but I guess that is no question. The question is whether one would pay for a mission pack by BIS. So actually you would have to add "yes" and "depends on.." together to get a good overview.

I imagine it would have to be a web download only or an incredibly huge variety of missions to even bother with retail. Why, packaging, marketing and stuff so i see web option alot better (then again i ain't in charge of bis's marketing or anything), especially for us gamers. If it weren't the previous options, i would see it as an increbily over priced one or two new maps/really short/ long awaited useless... oh sorry, i was rambling on about AVP2:primal hunt and many more which seem to have tried this idea and obviously........ Maybe a 5 dollar map-pack or something like that?

I voted yes (surprise surprise) goes without saying price/quality would be an issue, those and yes can be lumped together at the end, but nice to have an idea of who has unblinkered loyalty

How are they supposed to sell standalone missions? As soon as a server have it - the clients will just download it anyway - so no reason to buy them... no?

I think BIS would have to make a whole new addon package like Resistance that uses new functions (patch) or units/islands, so you may play the missions only with this new addon.

A standalone mission pack could be copied without problems.

Official MP missions havent impressed me much so far, so I dont think I would... Unless they would make a real co-op campaign with real plot and all that stuff.

I answered Yes. Especially if it was another campaign of the same quality of Resistance (notice I'm saying campaign, I'm not expecting another full blown expansion).

If it was a BIS made campaign then without a doubt I'd be down the shops with my wallet.

If it was single missions and multiplayer maps I'd probably hold off until people gave some feedback about what they were like.

SP maps I would probably buy, if they weren't expensive.

Your playing on the wrong servers ...

Try our coop server (Euro) or if you are in USA try 007vets server - he even has all the missions to download off his website www.vetserver.jerbrack.com then you can play them yourselves. Mail me what your looking for and I'll suggest a few.

The SES and VS map-makers are real good at what they do.
