Was Just thinking, we need higher landing/takeoff speeds.  Especially the f-15, it just floats.

I know focus is on playability, but I think a 200kph landing speed would be a good mix between playability and simulation for any fighter jets (Including Spartan fa-18 etc etc  Boy does that thing need an update.  Maybe they'll let you take over?  Whoa.)

Kind of absurd to come in at 150kph since that's about half what it would most likely be in real life.  I think a kph is about half a knot, maybe a little more than half.  In other words, when you're floating over the runway or carrier at 150kph, you're going about 75 knots.  That's more like the landing speed of a light twin piston prop, about the cruising speed of a Super Cub.  Shit, that's like highway speed here in Montana (up to 80mph, lol, good for your gas mileage [yes, I know the Germans are laughing]).  Supersonic is around 1200kph, especially at lower altitudes that we fly at in Arma, but I don't think you've added any supersonic effects.

 

And maybe time to arm the plane should be based on how many weapons you select?  It's too quick.  How many weapons and how much fuel you can load is a good part of the strategy you have to use, but how fast you can get back up in the air should be too.  You can't just load 16 gbu-53's instantaneously, lol.

And not to be a nit picker, but you have a typo.  It says "loading weapons of your choose"  Should say "Loading weapons of your choice"

 

Oh and how about animated high lift devices on the planes that have them?  (When the leading edge slats come down at high alpha.  Fuller's F-16 does it ;) )

yeah, when I help modder for flight models, I use to advice them to use the realistic landing/takeoff speed, and even it's "noob friendly" and allow better gameplay, it's simply too slow for a landing speed under 200 kmh, and you need to do a -3/5 dive to compensate for the lift at over 300 kmh. sometimes I even choose to stick with flaps 1 instead of flaps 2 so the jet can have realistic sink rate at a faster speed (around 190-210)

 

*actually firewill's landing speed is not that worse, I've seen under 100 kmh landing speed (for enough sink rate), not naming which mod, but it's a big jet mod. I feel like playing arcade while landing a tanker

 

what I assume is, if player like "gamplay", simple enough to not contain nearly any skill, they will choose for BF4 or other mobile game, and in ArmA, there's more mature player seeking for reality (and can't afford DCS) instead of easy gameplay (actually, is that really hard landing a jet in arma with realistic speed? I don't think so)

What`s next on the program for the update of the Buzzard?  Could we get a Cuing Helmet for this?

 

Could we get a laser gun,that triggers a smoke round to be able to practice air-air?

honestly, i don't believe "Realism"

Realism is never be a Real.

 

for Example, everyone know the how to fire the M16 Rifle in the game.

but many people didn't know about Recoil and gun sound on the Real. many reason of that, mostly "never use the gun on the real"

like a many people in this forum, i was in the Military too, serve the 2 years. i was Rifleman and IT Specialist for HQ.

after Discharge from active, i felt all of FPS game is never be a Real even they said "our game is most Epic and Realistic FPS Game ever!"

because i know the real Recoil, Sound,Weight even how feel the Grip for M16A1, K2 Rifle.(if you have chance for shoot the Rifle such as M16, must do it! but don't shoot at People!)

 

but aircraft is not. i'm not a Jet Pilot so i don't know my Aircraft is how much the Real.

so thats why i don't care about Realism, and never try to be a Realism. because each people have own Way and idea.

my way is just for Game. not realism, not Simulation. just for Game.

 

it is my Way.

AND YOU DON'T HAVE A RIGHT FOR BLOCK THE MY WAY.

currently i made some "picture point" for kit.

 

originally, picture is on interior wall. its can visable on Exterior view or 3rd person view, but can't see when 1st person view.

however, i placed on the windows, its can see with 1st person view. so thats why i place on that.

third picture is seem to be Limitation with "AttachTo" when interior view. i don't know why.

 

anyway, its looks like very unrealistic and funny, but i will include it. maybe someone need for this. 

of course picture point is can be customize with setobjecttexture command or use function.

of course not Laser Designator, but maybe equip Target Designation System from F-16C(PilotCamera)

separate vehicle class like previous work(A-164R,A-143R)

because i don't want Replacement for Vanilla. i have bad memory with "Overwrite and replacement" when i was played the OFP1

i guess you are misunderstand my intention what i said, i'm talking about how the add the laser/target designator on helicopter.

of course i know MH-60 have it. problem is, how to add it(Flir Turret for observer) without modify the p3d model and model.cfg.

so my solution is add the pilotcamera(that also can use FLIR) in the config and use target designation system from my F-16C

i'm almost destroy my keyboard because i saw many errors during Making FFV Config for Ghosthawk.

well for now, its working fine and my Keyboard has survived.

 

Currently FFV,Door Action is support for UH-80R only, its new ghosthawk class. 

Original Ghost hawk is not available for FFV,DoorAction,loadout dialog etc.

 

and i almost forgot to said, this Kit is don't need AWS. mean Totally Standalone.

HAHAHA I know the feeling!  We went round-and-round trying to get FFV working for Unsung vehicles (and my battle bus!) and with the lack of accurate documentation I'm surprised anyone can make it work.  Good job!

Nice!   Any pix of Flir system? Could it have some sort of moving map display? Like a zoomed in map that show how close you are to outside dangers and route planning.

 

Can you disable the Radar Warning so we don`t hear IR missiles?  As in RL.

 

That way,we need to actually see /use the new camera/flir system in order to fly that low,that we couldn`t before.

 

Could there be some sort of altitude scale where we could set a pointer to a set altitude? It won`t let you fly any lower then that setting.

I am the only one or idk but when group of F-15E fly and when they notice the target they get crashed to ground ?

Firewill I can confirm this thing, It has happened for the first time also to me.

On Altis with two or more F-15 (same for F-16s), using them as enemy, when they see the target they point the nose to the ground and crash! No problem with other planes, used the Eurofighters as enemies and works ok!
