Duke_of_Ray 0 Posted October 3, 2002 Is anybody doinga Russian and Chechen war mod?? I think it would be very neat mod, as long as you where a Russian and not a chechen rebel. There are a few great photo archives of the conflict out there, you can find links to them in a topic on the OFPEC boards. Excpet for orgish or whatever (DON'T ASK, I'M NOT GETTING BANNED OVER THIS) the pictures are all PG-13 in their depictions of violence. Like a guy firing a PKM, but you can't see the target. It would be really neat to be able to have the invasion of Checheny and fight in the cities, and alos have to protect convoys with m-24s and all kinds of neat stuff. Col. Kurtz 0 Posted October 4, 2002 A Chechen Mod would probably be very controversial. How do you deal with the reports of Russians executing captured Rebels? What about the Chechen attacks? It would be very touchy to make a full scale mod trying to keep along what is happening over there now. Since, like the Palestinian and Israel thing, there are two sides, you would have to caution from making any one side look better than the other. It would be cool to have units like Chechen Rebels and the Russian conscript units plus maybe Mil-8 Mil-26 and T-64(They are still in service). Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Â I will try to download that mission. there are 2 sides, but since I support the Russians in that deal I would be more than happy to fight polygon Chechen rebels. PSC 0 Posted October 6, 2002 Just an idea. Why does it have to be a real conflict like the Russian and Chechen war? I would suggest to create a fictional war scenario which involves the Russians and maybe a ficitional country located somewhere the far away regions of the former Soviet Union. I was stupid enough to download the Russian getting his head cut off, but clcikced it off about 2 secodns into video, before anything happend.
