MISSION INFO

Mission names;

-Sky Condor (your team is para-droped behind enemy lines to destroy the Radar, supply trucks and eliminate camp comander)

-Red Ball Express (you aproach the beach in a zodiac boat and must reach the train transporting the SCUD launcher to destroy it)

-Escort Service (Find the mission Pilot and escort him back, also eliminate the high ranking officer, blow up the bridge and ammo cashes)

Missions are design as an old Ghost Recon type gameplay, limited visibilaty and straight forward objectives

get in, complete objectives and get out!

Each mission is played with a 4 man team!

Player is the team leader.

Stealth is the key!

You will need some knowledge on how to control your team members in order to successfully complete objectives

Make sure you play the mission on "veteran" difficulty

To make the AI more chalenging go to your \documents\ArmA2\profile

and set class veteran to:

skillFriendly=1;

skillEnemy=0.7;

precisionFriendly=0.9;

precisionEnemy=0.5; /////////how accurate will the enemy be

Bonus Features

Mission has custom "Color Filter"

You can access the bonus features with a radio command by pressing 0-0

Mission was not design for ACE mod so if you play it using ACE mod mission might be out of balance!

Usually if i play with ACE mod i enable "SuperAI" because the AI in ACE mod tend to be slower in reaction

and weapon accuracy do to recoil of the weapon!

See later posts. Sendspace has apparently been hacked but has cleaned this link & is probably running full checks.

To be on the safe side, I uploaded the file to Virus Total which gave it a clean bill of health on all 55 engines, analysis result here

Minor correction: the original redirect was to a site called coolina.org. Adding that to my hosts file as well.

WARNING:

That Sendspace link redirects the user to a site called coolina.com. McAffee site adviser immediately flashed up a warning that the site was risky.

I hit "Block download" but the file had already downloaded. It turns out to be an 8.5 MB file called "Ghost recon Missions.rar.exe"

The dual extension is a classic malware installation ploy destined to trap people who haven't turned off M$'s imbecilic "Block extension for known file types" default.

Asking OP and/or moderators to remove link from the first post until this can be checked out. Sendspace may have been hacked. Also contacting Sendspace.

Edit: though the Firefox download list showed it as 8.5 MB, when I opened the folder the file was 0 bytes. Well done McAffee, but that meant I couldn't upload it to Jotti, VirusTotal & co.

I have warned Sendspace via the contact form that the site may have been compromised.

Hmm, just tried it again and got redirected to another site: "http://fasternated.org/v34?installer_file_name[remainder deleted by Orc - it ended with the same filename with the rar.exe dual extension]"

Clearly labelled as an installer. McAffee blocked it.

Thanks for checking.

Confirmed - I just tried again & got the correct file. The page now looks & behaves differently, Sendspace must have cleaned it up very quickly after I contacted them.

Will inform moderators to that effect.

Both fasternated.org and, especially, coolina.com are flagged on Virus Total as hosting (wittingly or not) a number of dodgy files inclusing some that attempt to communicate out of a sandboxed machine but are not detected by the various AV engines. The sites are now going into my Windows hosts file to block them permanently.

Which sites would you recommend uploading the file!

Well, any site can get hacked these days. Armaholic is always a good place to upload - the best non-BIS site of all IMO, though others like OFPEC are also great. Foxhound & his colleagues are an invaluable asset.

One point - if you are going to include other people's work do make sure that you aren't breaching their licence - someauthors restrict hosting/redistribution. It's always a good idea to confirm with the authors by PM first as well as being polite & a way of offering them positive feedback on their work.

Looking forward to trying this out at the weekend. Thanks for making the missions & glad that no-one seems to have been caught out by the hack.

Great work.

Thanks for keeping it light on the required addons?

I also recommend hosting this on Armaholic.

BTW any chance that you could convert these missions into COOP?

Well i could convert, but right now i'm kinda short on free time!

Maybe some time later!

Some things would need testing online (not possible for me right now) since scripts work a bit different when in multiplayer and i suck at scripting (know some basic, enough to make a decent mission)

If i do that probably would make it ACE compatible!

COOP-support with ACE-compatibility would be absolutly awesome! I am an old Ghost Recon 1-fan ... still one of the best games:)

I am looking forward to it

Missing addon: bb_oa_mercs. Looks like one needs the Operation Arrowhead version of Schnapsdrosels Mercs.

Escort Service is suffering from serious pathfinding issues. Under the hood, it's a solid BlackOps mission, but my team gets stuck in prone position well before the bridge landing, and the pilot does not move out of his corner in his barn. Not sure if it's Podagorsk, but that's a major letdown.

Red Ball Express has a nice firefight and a classic objective with a little different setup, but exfil and infil are rather boring. Average mission in my eyes.

The 3rd mission "Sky Something...." was a pretty tedious affair. At the first objective you had enemies appearing out of thin air which proved to be a very hard challenge, and the last objective had the same problem. If that would have been toned down just a bit, this would have turned out as a nicely challenging and well made mission.
