My suggestion is to make a mission with a few friends where you circle your targets AC-130 style.

I will try to add some excitement to it with adjusting the Fire LOD, so that grenades you try to throw out may get stuck inside the plane : )

Not that I'm suggesting more work...but would it be possible to mount some bombs under the wings, creating arma's slowest bomber. Could be fun. Just a thought to explore Sabre...

yes I am considering it. Once I have worked out wep proxies and managed to port the su 34s arma 2 weapons I will probably add it. will take while

PS:

you can add weapons if you add these lines to your planes init line in the editor:

 this addWeapon "Mk82BombLauncher"; this addMagazine "2Rnd_Mk82";

UPDATE:

Version 0.92

v 0.92(public release)

Prop Blur added and removed (didn't look good)

Fixed issue where Door Gunner could take control

Gunner can be selected from Editor

Acceleration decreased slightly

Armed Version door is now open by default so AI can shoot out better

That line should work for any Arma 3 aircraft, although (not surprisingly) none of the BI aircraft are configured with the Mk 82 by default. Just don't be surprised if they seem to materialize from the centerline of the An-2 and freefall from there, that's presumably why Sabre_Dust was mentioning "worked out wep proxies".

yea I didn't add weapon proxies on the An-2 yet. Still trying to grasp the concept with my Su-34 addon. Might make a special An-2 with proper weaponry someday. Also playing with the idea of making an An-2 Ambulance with stretchers etc

Next update will have a flight model change. Finally found the proper setting to make them turn more nicely with ailerons. Currently turns look like they're not trimmed properly and back heavy.

Getting closer to version 1.0

Added wheels to the floats. In reality they have to be put on the floats manually I guess.

So you probably couldn't take off from water and land on solid ground or vice versa.

From the looks they are not even designed to be used for landing/take off from land I think.

Not sure. Probably just for moving the plane around.

Here in Arma they will automatically appear while on/over land and dissapear while on/over water anyway : )

I have to say, fantastic work so far! Keep it up!!

We had a gaming night tonight, and we were playing on Thirsk (winter).

After a small firefight, we realized that our exfil wasn't going to work,

so we had to steal one of your An-2s at the airport and fly ourselves out.

Good times. Thanks for all the work!!! ;)
