Some good and bad news

Did some testing to make the float script physX compatible. It would work in theory.

Too bad the physX wheel setup for aircraft in arma is so limited. physX wheels can not be animated.

That makes it useless for amphibious planes where the ground level is different on land and on water. The An-2s wheels and floats would be stuck deep in the ground. Animating landcontacts has some effect but that stops when you stop the plane or try to steer.

 

So we will have to stick to the old simulation=airplane for the seaplane. There I have full control on how the plane sits on ground by animating parts of geo and landcontact lod.

I might use physX floats for pure seaplanes like the Felixstowe and Curtiss F in future though.
