Guest Posted September 17, 2002 I am currently involved in a project of making a two-legged LEGO robot that lears to walk by itself. Now as with any project, coming up with a good project name is the most important thing. Me and my colleague spent a couple of hours yesteday, trying to come up with a good name. We came up with several, but none of them were really good. We are hoping to find a good acronym that forms some funny word. Examples: DARWIN = Distributed Autonomus Robotic Walking Intelligent Navigator WALKER - Walking Autonomous LEGO Kinetic Evolutionary Robot DRAW - Distributed Robotic Autonomous Walker We were however never pleased with the names we came up with. So I thought about asking it here, since I know we have many imaginative people hanging around here. Good words to use (related to the project): Autonomous Robot Step Genetic (Algorithm) Neural (Network) Learning Controller System Evolutionray Biped Two-Legged Distributed Navigation Walk LEGO Unsupervised Kinetic ...etc There are actually three names we are looking for: One for the robot itself. One for the software on the robot client and one for the software on the host computer. So if anybody has any suggestions, it will be more then welcome
