ACRE2 Public Beta Release

Thank you jaynus, one of our clan mate that is trying to modify the script tried to use your "setGlobalVolume" function but in this way we had muted only the direct speech.

For the radio are there any other different function to call?

Are you sure? setGlobalVolume should apply to everything.

can't seem to get the 117 or 152 to display custom channel labels. 148 works fine though. do those radios not support it yet?

I'm quite sure because we did a specific test speaking both direct and radio (PRC343). I'll try again to be really really sure.

In any case, I've a question:

about muting and speaking with radio, is there a function to temporary disable the radio push-to-talk. If we'll make "setGlobalVolume" working, if someone, that is unconsciuos, press the button to talk in radio I'm enable to hear him but for ACRE, is always a radio communication to diffuse to the other?

I'll to be more clear... Is there a possibility that if someone unconscious can saturate the radio channel trying to speaking in radio or setting his GlobalVolume to 0, ACRE know that is a radio to don't consider for the communication?

They support it, just the labels are named differently RE the examples. the 148 is label, 152 is description, 117 is name.

hmm that's somewhat counter-intuitive. would make more sense to have the field names as "label148", "label117", "label152", etc. also am i correct in assuming the 343 doesn't support labels because it doesn't have a digital display?

Hello and thank you for making this great mod.

We use this in our unit and are extremely happy with it.

On a personal note I've been having some issues with it, however.

Whenever I use my PTT, I don't hear the "beep" sound that you're supposed hear when you activate your radio. I can still broadcast with it, but I just don't hear the sound on any of the radios. I've tried doing a clean install, making sure everything is being run as admin and all of that jazz.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you.

Anyone experienced disconnections after joined an ACRE2 server?

One of our clan mates enters in our server, the connection is fine but after some seconds it starts to lag and then the connection get worst and he must leave the server.

It happens just with ACRE2, not with ACRE1 not with TFAR.

Try NOT running anything in admin mode.

We changed the pipe system to theoretically not require administrative privs, but it might cause issues if you still do use admin privs.

Trying to test this on locally hosted dedi, but keep getting following error in jnet.log.

loaded config file uses:

jvon_password = balls;
jvon_server_address = {external IP}:{port};
jvon_enabled = 1;

Any ideas?

Edit: Just realized same question was asked two days ago. Server.cfg is pretty much default (Whatever TADST generated) with the jvon stuff added at the end. As far as 'server setup' it's just my box I play A3 on, because we couldn't get it to run on proper dedi before (Same problem)

Try NOT running anything in admin mode.

We changed the pipe system to theoretically not require administrative privs, but it might cause issues if you still do use admin privs.

Steam still needs Admin to allow injection to accesse the network. So any UAC on is still AdminP needed.

Steam running as admin does not mean A3 is running as admin.

You can try to copy the config to a location without any spaces at all.

Latest version on PWS.

I tried file paths without spaces as well (Just putting it at C root) and no luck with that either.

Found the problem :D

TADST creates more or less the following line (Already adjusted paths in this)

 -port=2302 "-config=jvon_config.cfg" "-cfg=jvon_basic.cfg" "-profiles=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam Games\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\TADST\default" -name=default "-mod=@cba_a3;@acre2omnibus"

Notice the "-config=jvon_config.cfg" part.

This gets interpreted as jvon_server.cfg"

Notice the red " at the end.

{ERROR}- Can't load server configuration 'jvon_server.cfg"'

I changed it to

-port=2302 -config=jvon_config.cfg -cfg=jvon_basic.cfg "-profiles=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam Games\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\TADST\default" -name=default "-mod=@cba_a3;@acre2omnibus"

and it now shows

{INFO}- Loading server configuration {jvon_server.cfg}

Next problem: Tried connecting to server. jvon_server32 log get filled with following info, counting from 1 to 22 and then it ends with a whole bunch of just the onDisconnected thing

.jnet.lastserver.cfg gets updated with correct info. Starting the client myself and connecting to same IP as given in jvon_server_address works fine as well. During the [Adanteh] onDisconnected spam I got an ACRE pipe error. Upon manually connecting myself it does say: ACRE HAS RECOVERED FROM A CLOSED PIPE

Running TS3 with admin priv set causes problems we found. For example the person with admin priv set on TS3 will show as "Arma connected no" in ts3 when they join the game server and be unable to communicate.

The 117F requires a large amount amount of inventory space and should only fit in rucksacks, you can test if the player has enough space with the following:

_hasSpace = player canAdd "ACRE_PRC117F";
