master.ofpisnotdead.com

Corrected

I can try to send you pull request, but I have no idea how to build PowerServer. I tried to import that into Netbeans without luck. Also there's no build script.

I'm using eclipse. Simply export the project as runnable jar there

As Serveradmin, i have to make any change in the server cfg for reportingIP?

Yes. It is written in first post.

reportingIP="master.ofpisnotdead.com";

@poweruser can you please change this in first post?  I'm not sure if hostname works for reportingIP, anyway it is not clear what to setup. It will be nice to distinguish online and offline master servers better.

I had edited that part in the first post already, last time.

You can also look up the current master server, that is in use, in OFPMonitor. (Settings -> Master server).

Or in that certain txt file on github

Because of pivotal priority change I would like to make an important announcement related to the PFC's masterserver.

We (PFC - Polish Flashpoint Community) decided to close our masterserver. We are proud we could support OFP/CWA community with functionality of live server browsing (that is in use by OFPMonitor) for over 30 months.

@Poweruser its possible to port/make OFPMonitor for Linux/MAC?

ARMA CWA was ported to Linux and MAC more info here

OFPMonitor its working very well with WINE but we need something native now, to run mods and easy join servers...

I asked support about enabling in Linux/MAC port support for PowerServer or adding adress "master.ofpisnotdead.com": :C

Unfortunately, we had to disable GameSpy completely in ports, for reasons related to Apple's Mac App Store requirements. There are currently no plans to include it.

The game is released on Steam not on Apple AppStore

I asked them why my Linux 1.99 server is not reported in Master server:

GameSpy code has been commented out in current port, so it won't work, and support for it currently isn't planned.

I recommend contacting Bohemian Interactive support directly. They do customer support for these Mac and Linux ports as well, and it's really them whom you need to convince about changes to GameSpy functionality. If you persuade people there, they may contact Virtual Programming and ask for specific changes. We wouldn't be able to decide on these changes on our own.

@tom34 are you going to contact BI again with question why is it disabled in Linux port? Also I'm curious which Apple's Mac App Store requirements were problems.

I've just added steam[1] join-server-deeplinks on my website:http://kondor.armagame.pl/ofp_servers.html so you can join server directly from there (no copy paste anymore).
Windows steam version seems to work[2]. Please verify mac & linux version (url opening might work different way).

Thanks!

[1] this means that mac store version won't work

[2] After clicking connect-to-server url, you need to click on steam (I guess to gain focus) to show confirmation window (at least I have such minor issue)

I tried it with Mac Steam CWA, worked flawlessly. Steam pops up with a window asking if I want to launch with the customer parameters used to connect to the server. I clicked OK and the game launched and connected to the server.

Ok I'm trying to get my server going again but it's not being seen in OFPMonitor.

I got someone to connect remotely using my IP, but nothing shows in Monitor.

I have reportingIP="master.ofpisnotdead.com"; in my server config.

I am behind a router and I have ports forwarded:

2300-2400 TCP/UDP

2234-2235 TCP/UDP

Are there other ports that I should open for Monitor to work?

I think you don't need to forward any ports to use OFPMonitor.

Can you send me output of

tracert master.ofpisnotdead.com

Also check if you don't have any strict firewall rules.

Hi guys not sure if this is the right tread if not tell me were to go !

I run for the last few years a 2 server with ofp  !

Still running a GOTY version with 1.96 and a steam 1.99 version !

I use to been seen using the

reportingIP="master.ofpisnotdead.com";

I haven't been of fro a while but someoen told me that I'm not been seen anymore on the server and on your list of the website.

I checked and he was right  !

I have been over it ut the ports seems to be fine and open.

My servers are seen on our website and the trackers seems it too  !

So I wondering what I 'm missing here !

With regards,

KillerBee

Hi Bee,

I thought I saw the servers in the monitor there other day. maybe it's a temporary problem?

Poweruser used to be in chat on ofpmonitor all the time, maybe he still is.

I can confirm that on my side only one LOL server is visible in OFPMonitor. Clowns of War 1.96, IP 80.56.***.***, port 2322. The 1.99 version is not there.
