tortuosit 486 Posted December 13, 2013 Thanks, a nice chance to pick Fallout tactics which I always avoided to buy, because there are enough others turn based strategy games...
onlyrazor 11 Posted December 13, 2013 For those among the BIS Forum users that appreciate complexity and ultra-realism, Dwarf Fortress is definitely worth checking out. None of that futuristic technology rubbish, either :p
windies 11 Posted December 14, 2013 Just picked that up and almost bought them on Steam cause they were on sale. Free is always better :)

None of that futuristic technology rubbish, either :p DF is great of course; but I think this thread is rather about free giveaways which usually cost you money... onlyrazor 11 Posted December 14, 2013 DF is great of course; but I think this thread is rather about free giveaways which usually cost you money... I thought so, but I figured DF was a realism joke not worth passing up.
tortuosit 486 Posted December 14, 2013 I thought so, but I figured DF was a realism joke not worth passing up. That's not a joke! DF is simulating a lot, there's a lot of realism - only the UI is not real in terms of what you see. Your brain needs to fill the visual gap - and it works. Tonci87 163 Posted January 23, 2014 Does this mean that everybody can play the MP for free? How are they going to make money?
Mr. Charles 22 Posted January 23, 2014 How are they going to make money? Team Fortress 2 is also F2P. Doesn't keep them from earning money:
chortles 263 Posted January 23, 2014 As with the Arma II DLCs, you're essentially paying for a SP campaign? Though I understand that for StarCraft II you'd also be paying for ranked multiplayer.
sudayev 27 Posted January 26, 2014 @Tonci87 You can play all game modes except the campaigns & official ranking multiplayer. Custom games with friends - of course, yes!
