i have noticed and issue, I'm not sure whether it was pointed out before or not but in MCC your soldiers are on the east side

Which ones? The NATO ones? I'll check the sides to make sure. I don't use MCC so I haven't noticed any issue like that.

So, Black Cat PM'd me about that Iranian screenshot, and I'm wondering why no one else noticed, but those guys aren't in this mod. I've been working on a sort of expansion pack for this mod, and made that woodland pattern, but wasn't thinking when I put up that screenshot. So, I'll go ahead and add in a preview of the expansion pack. I'll have another expansion pack coming before that, but I'll go ahead and include the files for those expansion packs. When I'm finished with Med Ops (once I finish the icons, there will be no more new items added to Mediterranean Operations), I'll move on to the first expansion pack, and will announce it at that time.

Hate to have a triple post, but update 1.50 will be coming later today/tonight. New icons (for the type of item, not the camo as that's too many icons). Changelog will be as follows:

-added SCO Pilot Coveralls for SCO Pilots

-gave SCO pilot fighter pilot helmet

-restored Takistani/Raven/Hezbollah uniform (clipping too much through other vests)

-added short sleeve OMCP uniforms

-changed Russian MEDVED Woodland and Arid to Russian Armed Forces Woodland and Arid with 6b9 Helmets, class names now INF_RU_AFRF_WDL_* and INF_RU_AFRF_Arid_* instead of SF_RU_MEDVED_*

-changed Akhanteros' Front uniform to black (really, grey) coveralls

-fixed Hezbollah and Akhanteros' Front technicals not showing up in editor

Hi antoineflemming!

First of all I would like to say thank you for such an amazing pack.

You really got talent when it comes to texturing and the whole way that you have thought this through really is great. Especially the lore and explaination regarding the factions and units I really like!

There is something I would love to see though. I would love to see the unit configs to be more standardised towards normal group compositions so they would work better with addons like MCC Sandbox and ALiVE. Especially ALiVE would be amazing with all these factions and equipment.

I really think that would give the pack a notch up when it comes to utilizing the units and equipment with some of the other great addons out there that combined with this pack, gives you an amazing environment. :)

I can't wait to hear more about your future expansions too. I am a huge fan of this pack.

EDIT: One question. That guide had MechaniZed in their code part, but further down they say MechaniSed. Is it with the Z or the S?

I say try it out with both then see which one works, since the dev team are mostly British and Australians they would probably use S, but since they're trying to make a standard for the international community they would've probably gone for the Z.

Here is my Mediterranean Operations bundle, which features uniform, vest, and helmet reskins.

Story:

Tensions rise as NATO and Iranian forces stand-off in the Aegean: the strategic fault-line between crumbling European influence and a powerful, resurgent East. But when a key radar facility drops off the grid, a Mediterranean flashpoint risks escalating into global conflict.

Background:

Blighted by the long tail of a deep-rooted economic crisis and sliding toward the threshold of war, beleaguered NATO member-states stand weakened against an ambitious, resurgent Iran.

Flooded with profits from the rich export markets of a resource-thirsty SE-Asia and the rising price of oil, bolstered by strong ties with China and strategic entente with Russia, Iran sought to expand its influence.

Deployed under the auspices of a swift humanitarian response, Turkey – decimated by a series of devastating and unprecedented natural disasters – fell within months to the ruthless Iranian Armed Forces. The forces serving under NATOSOC’s Mediterranean Joint Force Command are deployed across the North and South Aegean municipal regions of Greece. Bases across the archipelago – a strategic borderline between NATO and Iranian influence – are in a state of alert, following a period of heightened tension since The Jerusalem Peace Accord of 2034.

The serving contingent is a composition of elements of the US Direct Action Element (DAE), Seal Team Six (STS), 5th Special Forces Group (5th SFG); the British Special Air Service (SAS); the French 1er Régiment de Parachutistes d'Infanterie de Marine (1er RPIMa); the Italian 9º Reggimento d'Assalto Paracadutisti (IL NONO); the Polish Grupa Reagowania Operacyjno-Manewrowego (GROM); the German Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK); and the Hellenic 1 Taxiarhia Katadromon-Alexiptotiston (1st KATADROMON).

Faction info:

The presence of the Iranian Armed Forces in the Aegean, supported by Russian, Chinese, Takistani, and militant forces, is estimated to consist of a battalion-sized combined fighting force with conventional capabilities. This deployment is concentrated around a newly constructed military base, adjacent to a former NATO/Greek air force base (ICAO: LGLM). The majority of this force is designated to base perimeter protection and a counter-insurgency campaign, fending off the threat posed by an active local resistance movement.

The equipment and order of battle of the Iranian troops is reportedly compliant with the common Resource Zone Protection Force structure, including enhanced defensive, ELINT and SIGINT capabilities. Due to the proximity of the Turkish coast, the force is estimated to be fairly well supplied. Supporting the deployed SCO forces are pro-Iranian paramilitary Akhanteros Front and a Raven Security detachment, assisting with counterinsurgency and stability operations. Of highest concern to NATOSOC is the presence of Russian MEDVED, Chinese CHENGDU, and Iranian MARDKHOR “beyond-black†Special Forces.

Faction info:

With rumored joint CIA and SIS support, an armed local resistance was formed on Crete and exported to Agios Efstratios and Limnos in the weeks and months following the Iranian invasion of the Aegean. Composed of former Hellenic Armed Forces stranded on the island and aided by smugglers and weapon merchants, the resistance is an active, hostile, guerrilla faction acting against Iranian forces.

Little is known about their current strength or capabilities. Presumably, the resistance relies upon only light equipment, augmented by captured or stolen assets of the Iranian army, obtained from hidden military depots or via a black market network. Cooperation with local resistance seems viable, yet a cautious approach is required.

EDIT: One question. That guide had MechaniZed in their code part, but further down they say MechaniSed. Is it with the Z or the S?

Also what is the Faction Classnames? I could really use those apart from the gear to integrate them with a ALiVE Scenario.

There's something you're doing wrong on your end. I'm not getting that problem. There's not a problem with the 10th SFG. You're showing that you're not reading the texture for the LKA forces on the independent side. That'd be in the @MASS folder. That pbo is inf_lim_lka.pbo. Make sure you've got all files present. If so, then I'll just upload that pbo and see if it works. Also, the pic you put up shows nothing wrong...

Let me know if you've got that inf_lim_lka.pbo file. If not, then redownload the rar. If you do, and it's still not working, then I'll reupload that file. Also, try putting down the Lemnos Kinema Antistases under MASS, under Independents, and see if they show up.

May be a corrupted upload to, so I'll reupload the whole file later today. MediaFire was giving me some issues yesterday.

I forgot to include the faction classnames. And they're motorized or mechanized because I wanted them always having the support of one vehicle. So far, no plans. For now, squad-sized elements with one vehicle for support.

Well, I wish I could test it out to see if it actually worked, but I can't get ALiVE to work at all, even with the sample missions they provide on the website. So I hope it works.

EDIT: So I got ALiVE to work (wasn't editing my mission through MP). That said, I still can't get my factions to work with it (not sure what's wrong). Only the vanilla factions work. So I've still got some work to do in that regard.

They aren't in coveralls. They're in a black version of the snakeskin camo. It's the Crye combat uniform. The other uniforms' classnames are listed under classnames in the update post and first post:

U_B_CombatUniform_blk_crye - Crye Combat Uniform (Black Snake Skin) - This is the one they wear. Meant for night ops.

U_B_CombatUniform_rgr_crye - Crye Combat Uniform (Green Snake Skin)

Could you make another variant of them that's not for night ops then? I know mission makers could just swap out their uniforms out for cammies, but it'd be great to see non-night ops variants of these guys included in the mod by default as Im sure others and myself are under the impression that these guys weren't going to be night ops dudes.

Ok, so ARJay helped me out with this. The issue was that the factionclassnames and the group classnames didn't match cases. So I'll fix that and put it up tonight. Then, it'll work. And I'll update the classnames here as well. It'll be all uppercase. And I'll add in a green camo variant. This'll probably be the last update for a good bit. After that, I'll announce the first expansion pack for this mod. :)
