Canadian Armed Forces Modification ARMA III

I'm not sure if its my current mod setup or if anyone has noticed that CAF 0.2 some how turns the tracers for all the MX alpha standard weapons to green when there supposed to be red.

Its not a big problem, the rounds still chew up Opfor like they should, just wanted to pointed it out if anyone else has noticed it.

That said this is an awesome mod and I'm loving 0.2. Five stars :)

yeah, i had re-configured the ammo types so that opfor only fired green and blufor fired red, then the update came out for the alhpa and now it's all messed up. I'll be removing (fixing) that in the next update.

Cool, thanks. Got to learn how to do this stuff myself, an Irish loadout would be the business, send those Opfor running :P We'd just shout "hey now settle down lads, no need for fightn" full auto of course.

I'd just like to thank you for this Mod. It's definitely my favorite mod so far. The uniforms, vests, backpacks, and details are top notch. So excited to see what the future holds with refinements to the weapons, and the introduction of the full games potential. This Mod actually made this Texas boy interested in Canadian military! Thanks for that!

One small request for consideration: Could you make a few more selections of helmets. For instance add accessories to your current model helmet and maybe add a MICH or FAST style helmet (because other people probably wont have the same shade of camo as you and it will look.....off). That's the one thing this mod is missing (aside from vehicles, which is totally understandable).

Also planning to do some more "SF" type variants such as spray painted with some attachments down the road.

The optics can't be mounted on the rifle when I select them in the ammobox

Please provide more info

.rpt files, screen shots. I can not replicate if I do not have the same problem, thus I can not fix it......

I've got the same issue using the dev build, optics can't be mounted on any of the rifles, and soldiers no longer spawn with optics. This occurred with 0.2 and .26, as well as the last dozen or so dev builds. But i don't expect anyone to go through the hassle of fixing for dev builds.

Check for other mods running, I had the same problem until I disabled Aplions HAF weapons pack...then as soon as I reloaded the game everything was back to normal.

CAF is built on the stable builds. Thanks for the tips ill post then on the main post as known issues. Ill investigate as to why the HAF weapons cause conflicts.

I've found CAF is conflict with the AK107 Russian units, which somehow redefined the basic class "class Iteminfo", that's the reason

I will be pushing an update this week that should fix the sight issues when using other modifications. I think I know what the error actually is. Stay tuned.

Update to 0.265 will be out tonight.

To include:

-attempted fix for the optics issues

-Added Vehicle Tech (repair specialist) and Combat Engineer (explosives expert)

-Added Flags, Army, Navy, Airforce, Canada

Looking forward to feedback on the optics issue, that is the main focus of .265

Everything seems to be looking and working well (the optics) :)

This may be noob question, please be nice, but I was wondering if you are able to equip all your add-ons regardless of the server or do the servers admins restrict what can be added?

For example I able to equip the CADPAT assault pak, C7 rifle but not the actual uniform? In this case I was restricted to equipping some generic form of multicam.

If it's up to the server admins does anyone know a good server in which we can go all out Canadian?

The only issue so far is that the C8a3 with the EoTech is badly co witnessed (EoTech is misaligned with front post.)

As a Cdn soldier I love this mod, question though: And I'm not sure if this is just the way that Arma3 is made so you can't change this, but is there any way that you can make it so a soldier can carry more than just one M72, I would often carry 2 on patrol in Kandahar, and some soldiers who didn't have radios would carry 3 or 4. Anyways just a thought if it is at all possible.
