stlassen 16 Posted September 14, 2014 There is something annoying about how the HC groups are handled. I decided to attack a base camp. Part of that plan was to have three other HC groups participate in the attack. I ordered them to move to where I wanted them and started moving towards the base myself. I had about 1.5-2 km to go. As I got closer and wanted to check how far the HC groups had come, they had been removed and replaced by other HC units somewhere else on the map. I'm quite certain they weren't killed in combat. If I give a HC group some commands, I expect them to stay in game until I release them or they die. It's annoying to plan an attack, only to have it ruined by the simulator. Can you make it so that I can "lock" HC groups so they won't be removed by your simulator. Likewise also make it possible to "unlock" a HC group, to give it back to the simulator so to speak. But thats not what makes me sad, i dont understand why the Frames wont go up after this, and this will always a problem when Units spawns how they want. I wasnt able to get back to usual frames, not even after this fight was over and the Counter goes back to 79, Frames stays down. Tried Restart, again restart, Restart PC, checking Temperatures (lol, my Waterchiller delivers enough fresh cold water to the System, so no Temperature problem) i simply cant get it. For me there are now 2 things: 1: Arma Engine is shit, 10 years old since then not optimized (good work @ devs, NOT) or 2: Something is stucked in the mission or something, i dont know, whatever ^^ Maybe it was the Illuminati or O.J. SaOk 112 Posted September 14, 2014 Did you try to save in wla menu, exit, restart the mission in scenarios menu and continue your mission progress? And FPS was instantly poor? I just tried going completely vanilla and hardcore. I've put all at max, have absolutely no MODs installed and go totally hardcore. FPS is 40-60. I seem to have no conflicts. As soon as I add my normal MODs, FPS goes down 20-30. What really hurts my performance is the number of units+vehicles. The number of markers I doubt have much if any impact on performance (unless there is something in the simulation). Number of units does, especially if you have other MODs installed that do stuff with the units, like AI enhancers. 1: I don't think it is because of unoptimized engine. That's just BS. Of course it's better than 10 years ago! Can it become better? Sure! Of course it can! :) 2: It might be something in the mission. Or it might be some conflict with MODs. I so wanted to use GetTactical in this mission, but unfortunately that is just not possible because of limitations that messes things up. Not all MODs can be used due to limitations. It may be that some other MOD have leaks that become very apparent because of the number units. Great ^^ This sounds like something is wrong with your installation or possibly an A3-MOD conflict. I've never had that problem. Have you also made sure graphics drivers etc. are updated? 0 / 450 / Units: 101 :) I captured a base. I set up camp wolf after that at the same place. The place is crawling with friendlies and I have two tanks on guard. Occasionally I hear a bullet fly over head. My rig is cooled by a Titan500 Aquachiller, it cools water down to 10-12°C, when my CPU is in Loadstate it never reaches 35°C To the other thing with mods and issues. True. There has to be some issues but u wont find Human,Alien or any Extraterrestrial form which would force me to play Arma without mods. It´s looks like a big pile of shit without the one or other mod and texture. In the end we can only say there are more variables where the issue can be, also possible it´s in the mission, this would explain why i am not the only one which has issues which sounds very familiar to my ones... Even people with no knowledge have monster computers. And good for you for owning one. Dude! :p :) Professionally I have about the same amount of experience as you, as technician, supporter and developer - plus ~14 years. :) I forget sometimes. I'm human, and such is life. ;) To the other thing with mods and issues. True. I personally almost always have this core: CBA_A3, outlw_magRepack, outlw_moduload, RecoilFix, RYD_BT, st_gi, st_nametags, st_stamina_bar, sthud, tao_foldmap, TEN_fluidDoorOpening, TPW_MODS, Unlock_Uniforms, VTS_Weaponresting, WW_AIMenu, bCombat, Blastcore-Tracers, Blastcore, st_map_autobrightness, SaOK sounds (only in WLA obviously), AiA SP (when needed) I'm testing these: AGM, GetTactical (dropped in WLA due to limitations), A3wounding (some conflicts with WLA respawn), MCC (mostly for testing and debugging), tort_DynamicWeather, JSRS2.2, I sometimes also add item and unit mods, depends on what immersion I want. avfc 10 Posted September 15, 2014 Is the vehicles moving around on their own an arma issue or the mission? For example i tend to set up a Rearm/Fuel/Repair station with one of each vehicle at my base and whenever i leave and come back they are all moved around or even completely gone and its the same with every vehicle, they also teleport with you when you fast travel which is also a bit annoying. Also civilian vehicles spawning all over airfields etc can be a hindrance. Damn timewarp i thought i used a lot of mods :p Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
CrazyChrisX 10 Posted September 15, 2014 Hello Soak. i got a little suggestion here, that a few people might like and few people that might not like it, but anyway here it goes. would it be possible if in the WLA menu and under options to have a option to disable all vehicles, like have it only infantry, and then maybe add like a option like, light vehicle (hunter ish vehicles), then Medium and then heavy and the last option would be all or something around there, since a few times i try and play the mission like a infantry style only, so i dont need to worry about having to have a AT launcher on me 24/7, but that dosent exacly go as planned, i go about 30 min without AT and then suddently there is a ton of enemy vehicles spawning in and heads straight to me... hope to hear from you soon. It would be cool when able to mark a part of the map to have an intense CQB Battle only with Soldiers, no vehicles at all. CrazyChrisX 10 Posted September 16, 2014 Question: is there a way of force capturing a camp? like you put something in the debug and you activate it locally or something and the camp gets captured? since i have already encountered 2 bugged camps that wont be captured.. and its annoying since the enemy keeps spawning either at the camp or close to the camp, and starts assaulting other camps near it. if there is no way of force capturing a camp at the moment, would it be possible to add a feature in the WLA menu or something that we can add in the debug and activate locally to force capture the camp if its bugged?
