nodunit 397 Posted March 3, 2013 OA I believe can currently be set to around 50k viewdistance via script (I know it can do 20k at least, just have a hard time remembering the max). The lack of independent object sliders though makes it fairly wonky... Also the netcode at that distance starts to get really weird. Are you playing pure OA or Rearmed? Neus 11 Posted March 3, 2013 Same as TKOH, viewdstance can go up to 10K (or was it 20K?) reference this for an idea http://images.vg247.com/current//2011/07/Zeus_Arma3_screenshots_forums_004.jpg compare the airport in this image to get an idea of distance http://www.arma3.com/features/terrain That image is sweet! Where did you find that!?
Maio 293 Posted March 3, 2013 That image is sweet! Where did you find that!? It's an older promo image from 2011 I think. Check the image section in the confirmed features thread.
noubernou 77 Posted March 3, 2013 Are you playing pure OA or Rearmed? Pure OA (well CO obviously), setViewDistance can go way beyond 10k.

AH9 will be King in many situations on Stratis. Edited March 3, 2013 by Iroquois Pliskin

kilroy the nerd 14 Posted March 3, 2013 There are also some new scripting commands regarding pistols.https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Category:Arma_3:_New_Scripting_Commands_List That list also has a script for swimming about breathing, as well as a burning script and co pilot script. megusta So it can be firmly said, you can't go underwater forever, you can be lit on fire (presumably like ACE), and it will utilize TOH's copilot function. Though, that last should be expected with flightmodel. Does this also mean we can have radio? "Good morning, Stratis! Breaking news from China: they are trying to expand! And now with some favorite Hardstyle! (see the Noisecontrollers DLC from TOH)" So far, so good.

nodunit 397 Posted March 4, 2013 If distance shots are what you're looking for then I suggest you have a look at some of the much older images. http://media.pcgamer.com/files/2012/04/Arma3_screenshot_stratis_1204_03.jpg this one for example gives an idea of not only render distance but just how large Stratis really is since there are buildings to relate to along with how rugged the terrain is. Then there is this http://blog.gamingdragons.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/arma3-screenshot15-gamescom.jpg this http://wallpaperscraft.com/image/arma_3_soldiers_flight_ground_hands_36990_1920x1080.jpg and this http://www.shrani.si/f/1o/7T/3yTg94DV/lemnosarma3.png
