OCNDayZ 1 Posted September 25, 2012 Looks good, feels nimble, great update. I like it, thanks! I really enjoy the ban reason drop down, it'll allow our staff to issue bans uniformly. Requests: Change players display to players of (ie. Players: OnlinePlayers#/TotalSlots#) Display total bans similar to players Option to choose between local player db or a server side db Ability to block certain commands (ie. shutdown) from specific admins. - BEC allows us to disable commands for specific admin groups. I just wish an RCON would utilize these groups. We have multiple admins but I'd like the ability to choose what functionality they have. Thanks again! RSGabriel 1 Posted September 25, 2012 Report: When typing into the chat tab, if the text tab (and possibly the log tab) update, focus is lost from the textbox control. Request: Open source this tool.
soner 12 Posted September 25, 2012 Thanks for your kind words! Change players display to players of (ie. Some of these features will be available in the next version. As to your last request I have to say that this is not as easy as you might think since BE itself does not support that. This kind of feature would require a "proxy" server providing an authorization system. So I would have to redesign the whole RCon client from scratch. Report: When typing into the chat tab, if the text tab (and possibly the log tab) update, focus is lost from the textbox control. Yeah, I have been experiencing this too. But only sometimes. Zumbi 1 Posted September 25, 2012 Thank you for the great work Soner, this is a really awesome tool! :) Report: When scrolling through the player list with a high number of players, sometimes the name at the top or bottom of the list starts repeating over and over again in the direction you're scrolling, then that section of the list disappears. The problem is fixed by reloading the player list, but it can be annoying when you have lots of players connected and are scrolling back and forth. http://imageshack.us/a/img24/8228/listbug.gif Report: When trying to load a banlist with over 650 bans, the connection crashes every time. Auto-reconnect works like a charm but the banlist is unloadable. I can add and remove bans but can't actually view the list. Had this same problem with regular BERcon. If you want, I can PM you my server's rcon login info to check it out yourself.
soner 12 Posted September 27, 2012 Hey Zumbi, thanks for the reports. Report: When scrolling through the player list with a high number of players, sometimes the name at the top or bottom of the list starts repeating over and over again in the direction you're scrolling, then that section of the list disappears. The problem is fixed by reloading the player list, but it can be annoying when you have lots of players connected and are scrolling back and forth. http://imageshack.us/a/img24/8228/listbug.gif This can be considered to be a rendering issue caused when the list is being updated. When you see the busy symbol on the right it is better not to scroll. Another option would be increasing AutoRefreshTime in the settings.ini file. Report: When trying to load a banlist with over 650 bans, the connection crashes every time. Auto-reconnect works like a charm but the banlist is unloadable. I can add and remove bans but can't actually view the list. Had this same problem with regular BERcon. If you want, I can PM you my server's rcon login info to check it out yourself. Yeah, that would be great. Please send me a mail: http://battlewarden.net/contact/ with the necessary information.

thorhal 10 Posted October 1, 2012 gj Soner, enjoying it so far, I can confirm that my huge banlist gets loaded with the new beta. I would like to request TimeStamps for the chat though, I could go through the logs to find out the time but having it right there would be really nice. Prodavec 10 Posted October 2, 2012 (edited) 1. It is not coded using .NET Shitwork, has small memory usage and CPU time - COOL! 2. It saves settings locally in settings.ini with text format - COOL 3. It has compact and fast UI - COOL Thanks a lot. PS I guess there's a problem. It binds the port 2302 which used by the game server by default. Is it possible to use different UDP port? ryahn 1 Posted October 3, 2012 I love your work. Been using this for a while now and it has come a long way. From crashing when loading bans to now a nice GUI. <3<3<
soner 12 Posted October 8, 2012 Thank you for your comments, guys! @thorhal: noted for the next final version! ;) @Prodavec: Hehe. Although I like .NET I would not use it for this kind of application. As to the port problem: I will have a look at this. @Ryahn: Yeah. It had some problems in the past due to lack of motivation and time but a new era has begun. :D
dethica 3 Posted October 15, 2012 connecting through localhost still broken?
soner 12 Posted October 15, 2012 According to this demonstration: it should work. However there are still admins reporting the same problem. I will have a closer look at this.
soner 12 Posted December 27, 2012 Hey guys, I have just managed to finish and release the new version of battleWarden:RCon. Maybe a bit too late for a XMas release. :D The new version mainly contains important bug fixes (e.g. chat field stealing focus from other controls) and few new features. It is now possible to switch between 2 network libraries/modules since some users have been experiencing connection issues with the one battleWarden have been using up to now. So if you can not connect to your server or if you have any other network related issues, please edit the settings.ini file and change NetworkModule to 1. zach72 1 Posted March 2, 2013 Is there a way to specify the difficulty setting when you load a new mission with this tool? It seems to default back to normal, even if the server is set to expert.
