Guest Posted June 23, 2002 ... but don't open the champagne bottles yet, because I'll be back! I am leaving tomorrow for a two day mandatory "repövning" - military excersise. I got my orders the other day. Apparently they expect me to lead three platoons (~150 men) in the field. So if you hear in the news about Sweden invading Norway, it is just probably just me getting my boys lost. After that, I'm off to the Roskilde festival on thursday. I'll be back some time monday or tusday the week after. Currently things are looking a bit bleak since it is raining heavily here, but I'm hoping for better weather. Otherwise it will be going from one field of mud to another While I'm gone, don't do anything that I would do. Perhaps I'll bring my camera on the excersise so that you can see pictures of beautiful Norway

Of course, we would have to buy some surplus LGB's and hydraulic bomb loaders off of the Yanks first. LOL, gotta love the Canadian armed forces, 114 Generals, and 100 tanks. Most standard here in the U.S. is the M16. However there are several variations of it. And other weapons are used as standard issue. It depends on the Branch, type of fighting, and the squads.
