acare84 10 Posted May 25, 2012 Hello, It seems first patch is released but there are 2 files on the site. OFPPatch_exe_ESD_1_60.exe and OFPPatch_exe_DISK_1_60.exe So what are the differences for these files? What is the meaning of "ESD"? And which one we should download? Thanks. http://www.gameswelt.de/downloads/patches/161348-Iron_Front_Liberation_1944.html
panzer_baron 10 Posted May 25, 2012 If you got a DVD game, then you need the DISK file. If you got from Steam or something similiar, you use ESD. It's weird the way how that site loaded the patches, without the readme etc. Iron Front: Liberation 1944 Patch 1.01----------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright © 2012 AWAR & X1software. Nicholas 5 Posted May 25, 2012 Not quite sure. They are the same size, 134.4MB. I would suggest downloading the "DISK" version if you got it on disc. ---------- Post added at 01:53 ---------- Previous post was at 01:52 ---------- It seems as though I've been "ninja'd"! :o

celery 8 Posted May 25, 2012 The games been out 5 seconds and already patching? The game had to be printed on DVD at some point. To get the patch content on disc, the release would have had to be a couple of weeks later.
sethos 2 Posted May 25, 2012 The games been out 5 seconds and already patching? It's not uncommon for work on games to continue after the game goes gold. A game goes gold weeks before its actual release and at that point, nothing else will make it to the launch product. The rest can be added through day-1 patches or other post release patches. mycatsaid 13 Posted May 25, 2012 Well not complaining, at least they patch it :P

EDcase 87 Posted May 25, 2012 Check version number at the bottom right of main menu screen.
senchi 0 Posted May 25, 2012 If in bottom-right corner you will have written 1.01 , that mean what your game already patched. Iron Front: (mean IF version) Version: (mean engine version)

Phazon 0 Posted May 25, 2012 Thanks for the tip SenChi, I'll load up my GamersGate version first when its finished installing to check before applying the patch I downloaded.
carlitobrigante 10 Posted May 25, 2012 youve all confused the hell out of me now... my game version is 1.6.0 this thread talks about a 1.6.1 patch, yet the links go to a patch titled 1.6.0 then the dev above says it should be version 1.01???? Do i need to patch? Im going to have a tinker with the graphics options but it seems very buggy, Ive had 4 crash to desktops within 10 mins, and im only on the test mission where u get to view all the units. I was getting great frameworks, and the game seems awesome from what ive seen. also noticed the first few times of entering vehicles and mouted guns it works fine, then eventually after a while i can only get the 'gear' menu highlighted, and no longer get the option to enter the vehicle? (though this might have something to do with the fact i was testing the weapons on the assorted troops :-)
Phazon 0 Posted May 25, 2012 There is only an engine version in the menu (ie the 1.60) if the patch isn't applied I noticed. If you apply the patch it then shows an Iron Front version number above the ArmA 2 engine version number in the main menu. Also Panzer_Baron or any other devs around, I have noticed an annoying sound bug regarding footsteps with the infantry. The footstep sounds trigger way too quickly when running (not sprinting with the double-tap) normally while standing fully upright in the game. Almost sounds like the player is shuffling his feet every half a second, I believe it might be related to your new custom animations you added to the infantry when in that stance and running. Other stances sound fine, including the full sprint sound. Just the run sound.
senchi 0 Posted May 25, 2012 This mean what your version was patched. If u have only 1.60 (without IronFrontVersion) your game is not patched yet.
Phazon 0 Posted May 25, 2012 SenChi, is the footstep sound bug I mentioned a known bug? I think it might of been caused by the 1.01 patch and only occurs with units using the new run animation with the rifles/submachineguns/MGs. I believe something is wrong with the sound config file for the new animation.
Apocolyptica 10 Posted May 25, 2012 Do we actually need to download anything when the Steam version is released?
Ingeneer 10 Posted May 25, 2012 No, you'll DL it patched.
Caselius 94 Posted May 25, 2012 (edited) I think it might of been caused by the 1.01 patch and only occurs with units using the new run animation with the rifles/submachineguns/MGs. I had it even before the patch, when i run with stance where i can shoot i hear multiple footsteps. Edited May 25, 2012 by Leopard
Phazon 0 Posted May 26, 2012 I had it even before the patch, when i run with stance where i can shoot i hear multiple footsteps. Ah ok, well it looks like another patch is coming soon so lets hope they picked up on it and fixed it.
gossamersolid 155 Posted May 26, 2012 Don't forget this one: Just a small thing that should be fixed so it doesn't look so unprofessional :)
